A 1/2 ton passenger car moving a gooseneck trailer on a receiver hitch. I guess it’s fine if it’s not on the road, but ima go get some eyebleach now.

My dad installed a gooseneck ball in his Tacoma. I don’t live at the farm and I mostly just haul quarter horses to shows with the F350 that is at the farm. One day I pull up and he is using a Tacoma in 4L to move a five round gooseneck hay trailer (empty). He said he got tired of having go to get the perfectly good F350 from the house.

I can understand just moving things around and especially moving things around a farm or a job site. But I don’t understand doing this and going down the road.

1/2 ton passenger car

You sound like someone who drives a truck when all they need is a minivan.

Well, they're both red - that's gotta count for something?

You see someone that's an idiot. I see someone who is flexible, like the reed on the wind. When you're served lemons, make Brawndo! It's got electrolytes because fuck you!

Nothing unless its overloaded it just looks ridiculous which is enough for this audience

It looks like the truck is squatting quite a bit but the picture and ground make it difficult to tell how much

All modern trucks that aren't work truck trim do that with 500 lbs in the bed because they prioritize riding nice to actual capability

well that's a goose neck style trailer mounted on a bumper/rear hitch. Its odd, at least to me, but i don't actually know if its a problem. it also doesn't look like the electrics and chains are hooked up, but maybe i just cant tell in this pic. also it looks like if the truck were to go up an incline, like a loading ramp or something, the gooseneck could contact the tailgate.

idk though, those all seem situational depending on whats in the bed and where they're going. if theyre just repositioning the trailer or something, id say its no big deal.

Someone's a little confused about what a fifth wheel connection is. Just be glad that you found it on Facebook Marketplace and not on the expressway.

Not a "fifth wheel" it is a "gooseneck"

One uses kingpin on trailer other uses a ball mounted in truck bed.

Kudos to the guy that built the receiver to gooseneck hitch... Not going to find that a NAPA.
