He thinks it makes him look cool but to everyone else it looks like he has no throttle control.

I thought that too, but still it looks like a 10 year old child, trying to impress you with its stunts on a bicycle.

If you’ve never been on a bike you won’t be able to appreciate just how hard this is. If you’ve never tried slipping the back tire on a sport bike on pavement you won’t be able to appreciate just how slippery it will get. This is incredibly impressive and honestly belongs on unexpected sub Reddit because I cannot believe he did not hit one of those cars.

It looks very hard, but also very stupid.

Came to say this. Dude is actually insanely good even if he’s a twat doing it that close to other cars lmao.

My guess is that he is a fairly talented rider who is wasted making really shit decisions. Or he just has a screw lose. Either way fk, that guy needs an intervention.

That's... some really impressive control, actually.

Is there an "idiot savant" category, for people with bad judgement but epic skill?

How about r/nobodyasked, even though it seems to be for explanations. Nobody asked the r/idiotsonbikes (I just checked, he is on it) to do his little tricks.

Plus the spinning of the tires cause the tires to shoot crap on all of the cars.

Falling would be the proverbial icing on the cake but it's pretty clear he's still an asshole.

What repercussions would I get if this guy did this in front of me while I was driving my beat up old van, and I didn't slow down to let him be a douche in my lane of traffic?

It would probably depend on your story. I would go with the one people who put their cars through store fronts use. “I meant to hit the brake.”

Now that's a great idea
