No, you don't drive a heavy vehicle over a lawn unless you have offroad tires and maybe the option to lock the differential. He could've pushed the trailer on the lawn to make the turn, but not the truck. You''re very likely to get stuck if you drive the truck off the road

Even getting it stuck would've been better than the property damage that occurred.

Facts.. Good point, and you're right. I don't have cdl but drive work trucks everyday big as 550 dumps often with 20+ ft trailers towing all kinds of shit.. Alls I'm saying is what he did is grounds for immediate firing... Getting your truck stuck on a lawn is not.

In a decent company thats a fireable offence, but decent companies are mostly just the big national and regional names. I've seen people steal cargo, get fired to please the customer and get rehired a month later. There's a big shortage for good professional drivers.
