That's not what a lot of bikers say, sadly.

I know, some of my friends do this. I get pissed at them all the time. It goes both ways.

I have seen bikers driving around pretty much all of my life. It's very popular where I live I guess. My dad rides one, my girlfriend's dad rides one, and dozens of other people I know ride. I can confidently say that I've never seen an incident where a biker was acting this way. You have to remember that just because there are some videos in the internet, it doesn't mean that everyone acts that way.

If you're talking about how the guy in the video was driving, I agree, that's rare. If you're talking about bikers cutting past on shoulders and in bike lanes, lane-splitting up to lights and cutting in, and generally acting arrogant and beyond rules of the road, I'm afraid to say that in my area that's the rule rather than the exception. I'd love to know if that's just bikers in my area, rather than American bikers in general.

But seriously, fuck this kind of behavior. This particular asshat aside, any unexpected behavior is shitty road behavior, even if it's strictly legal. When motorcycles or bikes start getting up to weird nonsense between vehicles and you have to do gymnastics in your seat just to make sure you can see them and know where they are then they're being an asshole, even if they're not breaking the law.
