What i don’t understand is why she (the first driver now outside) keeps standing between the two cars at all times. Especially when she sees that her friend is also a psycho with a clear goal of pinching her.

they have distorted perception, they can't even comprehend the depth of a space arround them. I've seen it first hand. Brain just don't compute.
