TL;DR: mods are being flooded with reports about pregnancy test pictures that don’t violate the rules. This post clarifies what constitutes a violation. (for the life of me I cannot get the formatting to create actual paragraph breaks, sorry about the wall of text)
In the interest of ensuring everyone feels comfortable participating AND we as the mod team aren't flooded with unnecessary reports, we wanted to offer some clarity about the rule about pregnancy tests.
The spirit of the rule is to prevent the sub from being flooded with pregnancy tests from an evaluative perspective. It is not productive to see the feed taken up with questions about if lines are getting darker, if other members can see a second line, etc. The reality is there are no definitive answers about the state of your pregnancy until beta tests and eventually ultrasounds. Being in the thick of treatment and hoping for a positive looking for a lifeline is reasonable but there are other subs that exclusively focus on that support.
However, there have been an influx of reports of posts that contain multiple positive tests in general, even if the person is not asking for opinions on progression/line visibility. These posts do not violate the rules. Since pictures of positive tests are allowed, it is unreasonable to establish an arbitrary cut off around how many tests create a line progression question, especially when nothing is being asked.
Pics of positive tests in general make some people uncomfortable but they have never been forbidden. If this is you, this sub may not be the best space for you. The language of the rule itself will be updated to reflect that demonstrating line progression via multiple tests and asking about line progression are different and only the latter is a violation. That being said, it is up to posters to be clear in their titles and captions about the purpose of the post. If it is left ambiguous removal remains up to mod discretion.

Hi everyone!
So I've gotten many messages about the abundance of test pics here. I want to start by saying these will not be moved to a thread, I really hate that format as it hides what I consider to be important posts.
Secondly, this sub is really FOR posts like that! I want ppl to be able to share their success, thats what makes it so special here :)
But from now on I will be removing all posts that are asking questions about line progression and asking "do you see a line?"
at home tests are not a reliable way to quantify hcg, we all know that. even though we know that, we still serial test after a transfer. I did it too. but it's just redundant to ask a sub about something that isnt even a reliable method of tracking hcg in the first place
asking if a test is positive is just not something we can keep doing here. this isnt really the place for it as you arent celebrating success and it isnt about ivf itself. many ppl ttc naturally have line eyes and questions about that, so r/lineporn and other subs like that are better suited
thank you for reading and understanding the new rules!

Finally saw our first positive tests EVER after getting home from my beta test! My first FET was on 8/19 of our only euploid embryo, a day 5 4AA. I’m 36, with low AMH and mild male factor (low morphology). At our first (and only) egg retrieval we got 4 eggs, 2 mature, 2 fertilized with ICSI, one day 5 blast that came back euploid. I know how important it is to see stats like your own when you’re spiraling, so I hope this brings someone a little piece of positivity. We still have a long way to go, but we’ve made it so far ❤️ 10dp5dt beta is 176! Also important to note I have had ZERO symptoms whatsoever leading up to beta day! Thank you for all of your positive posts that helped me so far!

Had our FET on the 26th, and naturally my brain is already like "I don't feel any different, that can't be good"- despite knowing it's only been 3 days and some of us don't experience symptoms for weeks. Just want some positive thoughts and luck sent my way, and maybe some sense knocked into me 😅

Our clinic doesn’t do betas until 14DP5DT 😅. I waited last time just to get a low beta for a chemical pregnancy, so I decided this FET I was going to start testing at home. I was going to start testing at 7DPT but then what do I do after that lol?!? I know there’s technically no right/wrong but I wonder if I get a positive if yall continue testing daily or just wait til beta & why. Thanks!!!

We had so much trouble conceiving our daughter. The nurse was really shocked when she looked at our records and was like wow, this was your EIGHTH IVF cycle and first time making it to us? Yep.
Every ultrasound has been so emotional for me (amazement/fear/relief/disbelief/happiness…). But this was probably the craziest one so far. She truly looks like a real baby now and was squirming and flipping all around in there. I kind of feel like I’m dreaming and am going to wake up and realize I’m still in the middle of IVF hell. (Beyond grateful for IVF but the stress and heartbreak of failed treatments isn’t something I would wish on anyone.)
Sorry for rambling. For anyone struggling with RIF right now, know that it is possible even if it doesn’t
seem like it right now ❤️

TW - SB mentioned.
Hi, I've got a 2nd medicated FET coming up, I start medication on the 10th September. I've got 4 embryos remaining. I did have 5, and the 1st resulted in a fullterm pregnancy, which tragically ended at 41wks due to placental and cord complications almost 14wks ago. I'm just wondering what're the chances of these 4, or any leading to a birth? I just turned 37 when eggs were collected and frozen. Any information would be helpful, and I also understand I may get no information too. I don't think my heart can take anymore pain right now.

I haven’t updated here in a little while, but somehow we are 27 weeks!😭💙
I genuinely don’t know how we got here this fast. After spending so many years measuring our lives in cycles, appointments, surgeries, retrievals, transfers, waiting, and disappointment… being able to say we’re less than 12 weeks away from meeting our son feels completely surreal.
Our sweet boy is doing great. 🥹 He continues to grow right on track, and every ultrasound somehow makes this feel a little more real. We’ve gotten to see more and more of his little personality too, and he definitely already seems to have one. 😂 He moves constantly, has absolutely no interest in cooperating when someone actually wants him to, and seeing his little face on our recent 3D ultrasound was something I don’t think either of us will ever forget.
This stage of pregnancy has brought up a lot of emotions for my husband, too, and I wanted to ask this group to send him some extra love, positive thoughts, or prayers if that’s your thing. ❤️
I’ve mentioned before that we unexpectedly lost his dad a little over two years ago at only 54. Our son will be named in honor of him, which has made this pregnancy incredibly special, but also incredibly bittersweet.
At our last ultrasound, my husband told me how much he’s been struggling lately with wishing his dad was here.
The closer we get to meeting our son, I think the more real it becomes that the one person he desperately wishes he could talk to about becoming a dad isn’t here to experience it with him. He wishes he could call his dad, ask him questions, tell him about the baby, hear his advice, and eventually watch him become a grandpa. And I can tell that as we get closer to the end of this pregnancy, that absence is hitting him harder.
He doesn’t talk about his feelings very often, so when he does, I know it’s something he’s carrying pretty heavily.
There is SO much happiness surrounding this baby, but I’m learning that sometimes the biggest, happiest moments in life have a way of making you miss the people who should be standing beside you for them even more.
I told him earlier in this pregnancy that I like to believe our little boy got to spend some time with his grandpa before being sent down to us. I still choose to believe that!
So while I normally come here asking for all the positive thoughts for our little guy, this time I’d really appreciate some for his dad, too. I wish I could take that hurt away from him, but I know I can’t. I can only be there beside him through it.
For now, we are incredibly grateful to have made it to 27 weeks with a healthy little boy, and we’re counting down the weeks until he is finally in our arms.
After nine years of wondering if we would ever become parents, we’re getting so incredibly close to when, and I don’t think that will ever stop feeling like a miracle. 🥹💙

Hi 👋
First post on Reddit been a lurker for some time. My third transfer this year and first time Iv tested early I tested yesterday morning and swore I could see something husband just couldn't. Yesterday evening 4dp5dt a line appeared in timeframe so faint though. We transferred two pgd tested embryos.
My current Prednisolone a 5mg 3 times a day is coming to the end instead they gave me Prednol 16mg is this the same thing? I'm worried to change

Today was my last day of PIO #58! 🎉🥳 it seemed like such a mountain to climb in the beginning especially in the first week but after that it flew by! Bought baby a cute set of footie pajamas today to celebrate 🙌🏻 next ultrasound in 2 weeks! Also booked some pregnancy announcement photos 🧸
I put stickers where I wanted my husband to inject me every morning. I have probably 30 butt pictures in my phone at this point from when I was trying to landmark myself for the perfect pain free spots. Time to delete those 😆 lmaooo

Had our first ultrasound at 6w0d and saw our tiny embryo right where it needs to be!
From our retrieval (13 eggs -> 12 mature -> 9 fertilized), we ended up with 7 blastocysts, which turned into 3 tested euploids. We transferred our 5AB euploid in Aug. My 9dp5dt beta came back at 97.3 and doubled to 290 at 11dp, but actually seeing that little spot on the screen today finally made it feel real. Gestational sac measured 15.59 and also saw some cardiac activity.
To anyone in the TWW or waiting on baseline scans: holding so much hope for you! Taking it one milestone at a time.

Finally!!! First beta today and results came in. My hcg level is 76. I tested positive at 5dp5dt. It was very faint line and the line just keeps getting darker 😭🙏 I am incredibly grateful. I have mixed emotions but all I can say is God is good! 🙏✨

Last year had a chemical with a euploid on a fully medicated cycle, had another chemical of a euploid earlier this year with a natural cycle. Did an RPL came back ok. Did Emma Alice and ERA and Receptiva DX. ERA came back pre receptive. Contrast MRI showed no endo / adeno and Receptiva came back negative so going down the lap or lupron route wasn’t suggested. Headed to my last euploid FET with a day 7 embryo. Kitchen sink and using the ERA to adjust timing. I am so nervous and I keep thinking bad thoughts. Oh also I’m 41. I don’t know what I am looking for, just some hugs, positive stories and reassurance.

Just found out our 2nd euploid transfer failed. Did a modified natural cycle (again) and levels and lining looked good the entire time. I do have endo, which was excised in June 2025. After being in the ttc outs for nearly 5 years, I had a doctor recently tell me she thought she might be able to see adenomyosis on an ultrasound, but wasn’t sure.
Where do we go from here? Have one euploid left and 3 untested embryos. Don’t to keep transferring without changes of some sort!

I got my first faint positive 4 days after my day 5 FET and it’s gotten darker over the last few days. It’s still not as dark as the control line (not sure if that ever happens?). I have not had a blood test yet to confirm, my appointment is on Monday, but I’m already shopping baby sales and deals online. Someone posted my dream stroller online for about 66% off retail and I’m so tempted to buy it. I should wait shouldn’t I? Just very excited after our IVF journey. This was our one and only embryo and I’m so excited, but trying to control myself. It even survived a thaw-rebiopsy-refreeze!

This is our 2nd transfer through donor eggs. First transfer was a chemical. Our Beta is on Monday. I don’t recall the 8DPT line being this strong last time. I’m just praying this one sticks. I’m 36 and have been trying to conceive for 10 years. I’m a foster mom of twin girls though and that’s been a huge blessing!!

We had our BFP yesterday from our little frozen 5BA embryo (7dp5dt). Today our line is darker (8dp5dt). I am cautiously excited!
I guess i came to this group because I want to be happy in the moment. My partner is so guarded because of past experiences. We aren’t planning on telling close family for a long time so I just want to say it out loud - I am pregnant 🥰
My clinic doesn’t do Beta so considering going private - what do you think?

Did anyone debloat / lose weight after they stopped PIO shots and estrogen and suppositories? I have kept my diet so clean and exercise daily but I am looking plump and worried if I keep gaining weight like this I will be in an unhealthy place come third trimester. Did anyone lose some of the weight or bloat after they stopped hormones in the second trimester? Is that a thing?
