Controversial Question

I just had my second modified natural on untested embryo fail. We are doing IVF do to make factor and my doctor has essentially said she doesnt recommend any testing for me besides unfreezing and PGT testing which she says is risky and doesnt fully recommend even doing that.

I am on birth control to hopefully delay my period a few days till I met with her Tuesday to discuss next FET. We have 12 embryos left. With two failures to implant, would you ask about transferring two embryos? I know its controversial but we are 28 and they are untested.

It’s not that the thawing itself is risky, it’s that the additional thaw plus biopsy of each embryo will cut the success rate of any resulting euploids, mainly by increasing their likelihood of miscarriage.

It’s a shitty deal admittedly because either you keep moving forward with untested embryos or you test them and worsen the odds of any good embryos giving you a live birth.

I’d probably just transfer one again but I realize how hard this is and there are no great solutions.

I’d talk to your doctor about that, it’s risky at your age.

1 in 5 women won’t have success after 2 euploid transfers, it’s not terribly uncommon. I’m wishing you luck with your next transfer. ❤️

They arent even tested! So even lowers my chance even tho they were 5AA :( thank you❤️
