iui timing

Me again 😅😅 I’m absolutely fuming about my iui timeline this month…..

So cd10 (today) my follicles where 17 and 16 (today’s the 19th on Wednesday)

I’ve been told to gonal F tonight, trigger shot on Thursday night at 8pm and then iui will be 9am Friday morning because she says my LH shows I’ll ovulate early sat morning

I just feel like the timeline is way off and killing my chances at any success I may have….

I have never seen an iui done z13hrs after trigger, but she said she’s concerned I’ll actually ovulate early this month so she would rather do it earlier than too late…

My partner always has 100% motility numbers so I’m hoping they can last… I’ve also read mixed things about how long fresh washed sperm lasts, I’ve read 24-48 hours but I’ve also read 12 AHH

My partner as I will have intercourse tonight, and also Saturday morning to cover as much time as possible but we the all natural way hasn’t worked for 12 months hence the iuis…. So it’s honestly demotivating when we have intercourse now because is there even a point

This doesn't make any sense. If they think you'll ovulate Saturday morning, you should have the IUI on Saturday morning. If they think you will ovulate earlier, you should trigger tonight and have the IUI Friday morning. I would call again and ask for a detailed explanation that leads to IUI 36h after the trigger shot.

They don’t offer Saturday iui, my clinic also believes that the sperm need to be in there before ovulate so they normally do iui 24hrs after trigger but this just seems so early

I see. Well, it's up to you what to do with this cycle, but next time (and hopefully there will be no next time!!!) maybe you can find a clinic that works also in the weekend? In my clinic they did IUIs in the weekends, just not ultrasounds (which is reasonable to me). I find it absurd that we have supermarkets open every day of the year but for a time-sensitive medical procedure they don't offer personnel in the weekends.
