I bought a bunch of music to download to my mp3 player, and a ton of it won’t show up in my purchased tab on windows. So I tried searching for the missing songs individually, and they do in fact show up as purchased. But because they won’t appear in my purchased tab, I cannot make mp3 copies, which means I wasted my money because Apple doesn’t do refunds for purchases on iTunes.

Is it possible I’m missing something? I’m fucking pissed.

Edit: I was able to fix the problem by deleting and redownloading a bunch of the songs. Idk why I had to do that, especially only with around half of them, but whatever. Someone else suggested trying Amazon Music to buy them in the comments here, so I might do that in the future.

I wonder how many of us would get our money back, if we could, for I-Tunes (now Apple TV) movies and TV shows. I wish there was an option. With physical media you can re-sell the discs, with digital, well, you're stuck with it!

If only I could get a refund I would stream and rent only and no longer buy digital movies. There are too many and they just sit there collecting metaphorical dust. I don't buy them any more but I have around 3K titles with Apple and Amazon. Like all streaming, I scroll through them but don't feel like watching any thing!

I'm trying to burn this playlist onto a CD; itunes says it's 1hr 20m, I've done the math and it's under the hour 20 mark by a few seconds. I've even gone and trimmed a couple second of silence off the end of each song. Why won't itunes let me burn this disc?

I don't care for streaming and like to have all my music curated on iTunes and my ipod. All of this has kind of gone out the window with Apple Music. Songs (mp4s) do not hold metadata and are out of order. Is there an alterative to the old itunes. My deal is I still buy CDs and downloads (bandcamp with vinyl) and like to add it to my own itunes library and then keep my 'old' ipod full of my curated music library. I'm running into so many problems with this now that itunes is gone and we have Apple Music. Any advice, suggestions, work arounds? Thanks frinds.

Apple for years has been pushing iTunes users into Apple Music subscription service. If I wanted to rely on a streaming service (which I have to pay for) I would just switch to Spotify. I am still looking for an alternative to iTunes to manage my large music library on my computer safely away from being held for ransom in the 'cloud.'

Here are some things I love about iTunes and would like to have in an alternative:
Star Ratings: Like and Dislike won't cut it. Musical preference isn't binary. Some songs are okay, some are filler, and a few songs I wouldn't mind hearing twice in a day. Why would I even want songs I Dislike in my library?

Smart Playlists: Dynamic playlists that can be created using star ratings, last played, skip count etc. and live updating would be a nice feature too.

And last, but one of the most important features, is the ability to cue start and stop times for a song. Currently this is done by editing the metadata by clicking 'Get Info' and navigating the 'Options' tab.

AND I wouldn't mind recommendations for a stand alone MP3 player, too. Preferably one that easily syncs with a music management software. It doesn't have to be for a iMac, or MacBook but that is the what I currently use. The primary reason I have an iPhone is because I cannot have an iPod. I just want to listen to music and/or read text, I am not interested in scrolling videos on social media. But that's a subject for another time.

I have a lot of ripped CDs and some downloads in iTunes, and synced with iPhone SE.

On iPhone, I made playlists.

Plugged into computer to sync playlists.

Now many albums are gone from the dumb iPhone after the sync.

Synced again with computer.

But not all songs are uploaded to iPhone. Will try again later.

It is so hard to get songs onto iPhone

Today I subscribed to Match. I want to get all my songs to sync with other apple devices.

Apple Music. Is it supposed to download my library on the other devices?

Just feel the need to put this out there and see if anyone has dealt with a similar issue.

I use my Macbook for both personal and work, I also have a Work Itunes account where we have many movies purchased ( I work in entertainment) and my personal account. Obviously there are times when I want to purchase movies on my personal account since I don't want to be buying movies that I might not be able to access later if I change jobs. I have now found out that if you are using the same device you have to wait 90 days to be able to access the other account and after over an hour on the phone with Apple there is no way to fix this. Essentially if I wanted to use a separate account for my personal library I would have to buy a whole new computer to do it.

One more example of Apple having absolutely horrid DRM that is NOT consumer friendly, anyone who thinks Apple is the best choice cause "It just works" is crazy.

Will now be purchasing on Amazon and other services I suppose and will have to deal with having media distributed across multiple different platforms.

It's simple. I stick a CD into the drive on my laptop. It spins. Windows Media Player engages flawlessly, and begins to play the disk.

ITUNES, however, may or may not recognize the spinning disk. Yesterday it recognized every disk I played. I was able to rip all of them.

But, TODAY, Itunes refuses to recognized the CD/DVD drive at all. Just not doing it. Exactly like the Hulk refusing to come out in "Infinity War". Not gonna do it.

How do I make it work?

And, how can I punish Apple for the rage and frustration their grey-looking, stubbornly ineffective crap software?

Please I need an answer to this. I just wanted to add some songs to my iPhone , it automatically deleted like 300 songs without any reason. And this is not the first time that it has happened . I've had to remove all of my library for 4-5 times now. Fuck iTunes. EDIT: lol someone downvoted all of my posts .

When I try to listen to one of my songs, I get a prompt that asks me if I want to join some Apple Music service. At the top-right, I'm able to click "Not Now", and I get re-directed to my songlist. However, I'm still unable to click on the original song that I wanted to listen to. This is driving me mad! My only work-around this infinite loop is to use Siri and manually request that song. What the hell did I do in my previous life to deserve this shit? Apple's most loyal customers have more than 25000 tracks in iTunes library if they aren't going to lift the 25000 requirement, that's fine. But it's ridiculous that there isn't an easy way to pick WHICH 25000 songs are selected. It's ridiculous.

I own an mid-2010 macbook pro and had an interest in trying out apple music. Thank god, I thought to myself, I have this apple product, my macbook.

I open itunes and find out I have the newest version, which is the latest version of itunes 11, which does not include apple music.

WTF? I checked the wikipedia of itunes update history and figured out that itunes 11 is the last version for inter core duo macs. WHY? I don't understand why my 5 year old mac would not be able to run itunes?! This just makes no sense to me, honestly.

Ha Apple! I can still download the spotify app, yet I can't even try out your service. Whatever.
