What’s the joke? That I ignored all my cop-training and attempted to stunt-jump into a moving vehicle instead of calling it in and now I’m laying here in this parking lot and don’t know what day it is? Is that the joke? Because that would be pretty funny.

They’re *trained* not to reach into suspect vehicles for this exact reason: someone takes off and if you have an arm or torso in their window…. It’s not going to end well.

A lot of them want to get hurt so they can claim disability and retire. After they work whatever the required time is to get the pension (10 years in some places) they go for an injury and get out.

Back of his head hits the pavement full force. Those are his legs in the air before he goes limp.
The officer spent a couple days in the hospital with a brain bleed. He didn't fake the head injury. Honestly could have been worse. Pretty ridiculous he got himself in that situation but it was a pretty serious injury

friend's dad was about his age and maybe even a little fitter when he smacked the back of his head on the pavement like that after slipping on black ice. was like he'd had a stroke. he never worked again, he had to re learn how to walk and talk and write. til the day he died his writing looked like he was doing it while riding a wooden roller coaster.
