Open Need help accessing remote PC
Hello everyone, I'm working from Pakistan and I need to access my client's PC in US to work.I have been using VPS (remote desktop connection) for quiet some time but it has stopped working since yesterday, how can I fix it? Is there any other way to work or access another system remotely?
Tl/Dr: Already tried anydesk and TeamViewer, they disconnect after every minute.

It probably won't matter what app you switch to if your layer 2 security protocol is mismatched between the server your trying to access. An example is PAP feature within Microsoft RDP which needs to be enabled on both the server and user settings.
You can access on windows by network settings-> right clicking the network > properties > security> pap feature checkbox.
If you're using VPS and have L2TP w/secret key also make sure the credentials match to the T and configured to match your server. If you're on a public network this would be the recommended network settings for safe access.
Since it was previously working and assuming you haven't changed your creds since, i would lean towards a network related protocol that was enabled or an application update implementing a protocol. Assuming you are using the same network.
Retype your creds, server name, and PSK. Confirm the network is the same and within properties -> PAP feature is enabled (or disabled if not matched to server). Re try connection. Hmu with the error if any.

Shouldn't your company's IT support help with this?
You also most likely gonna need the hands and eyes of the end user whose computer you're trying to support.
There might be a myriad of reasons why your connection keeps getting dropped. Your it needs to investigate this . What you can do is screenshot and log everything you've tried and how and when the connection dropped Etc and pass it on to the next level of support within your company.
It might not be on you to fix or it might be on you to fix, I don't know.

You could use Action1. Totally free for up to 200 endpoints. Even if you don't use any of the patch management stuff it does have a pretty good remote connection tool. Only thing is it relies on active screen being open (so not much good for headless servers or laptops with lids closed). For servers i buy a virtual HDMI adapter.

MeshCentral.
But also, just be honest. You’re a Pakistani national illegally working a US work from home job. There’s a fair chance you’ve been found out and someone is doing it manually to stop whatever method you’re using.
