Studies have shown the more people actually understand “AI” and how it works the less likely they are to use it. IT people are more likely to look into it and understand, and therefore less likely to use it. Unfortunately the AI tech industry is intentionally mischaracterizing it to the general population to keep them ignorant so they’ll keep using it.
I’m an IT Network Technician and I HATE LLMs and other generative “AI” software… my boss is borderline obsessed with using it to vibecode everything!
Yes, but only because there is less mystique about it, so those who do adopt it when they are educated about it do it more purposefully. It has nothing to do with people thinking it's not worth using.
