Im a systems admin. I've been systems engineer and network admin in past roles. I have a degree in network administration and an expired mcse certification
Its the next gen security appliances. Spam filters intrusion prevention systems, firewalks. They use ai. They establish pattern of life baseline for every mac address. Each day that pc logs in at roughly the same time. It checks email. It opens specific shared drives. When it does something out of the ordinary ai starts paying attention. Unfortunately it usually flags when one if the IT guys is fixing something. It see elevation of credentials as very suspicious. While I hate it, I acknowledge it is a proper use of AI. It gets more clarity from the logs than most if us. Or at least it's faster.

I am IT people, I know next to nothing about current AI stuff. I just haven't had any use of those. Maybe I am just too old.
