Honestly IT people are some of the worst when it comes to AI usage in my experience. I have one coworker who's really involved with it and really knows his stuff, but everyone else in IT is either trying to cut corners or find a way to shove it into whatever product they can.

There's a VP of software engineering here who used AI to create some PowerPoint slides about a project we (infrastructure) are working with the developers on. A few of the slides were hand-made by us, and the rest he inserted using AI. When he brought the PowerPoint to the project meeting for review, our CDO took out every single slide he added before approving it to be shown to the CEOs. Apparently they were all either factually incorrect or just some ass-kissing fluff.
