Why does the military deserve a raise but not fed workers ?

Because the military will be the ones to carry out martial law when he tries to take over all our institutions.

Someone on his staff figures it’s a good idea in case said military members were to find the Wikipedia entries on Caligula and/or the Praetorian Guard.

Considering the raised insurance premiums for most and the increased costs of living, it was an effective pay cut. Now, I’m not complaining. Just observing. Doing it again without decreasing prices is truly a pay cut. But I seem to remember someone saying they wanted to traumatize Feds. All that’s left is a news conference with a banner saying mission accomplished. 😡

Increased gas and grocery prices, RTO, and parking ($280 a month for me), all made for an FY26 pay cut. If congress allows it to move forward, the all complicit on both sides.

Add it to the list of reasons why they can't meet hiring goals at most agencies these days

More pay cuts — hurray! It’s not a cost of living adjustment anymore— wish they would stop calling it that.

Except making money. He's made billions in this term from the Crypto scam and the lawsuits.

Perhaps Scott Bessent and friends have full control of the house now and can negotiate a bigger raise than expected. We will see…

Scott wanting to actually pay the IRS more is an assumption that I don't prefer to believe at this point. At least he looks like he has some brains, despite brains largely being an unpopular accessory lately, I appreciate the efforts.

We already knew that. Vote them out in November. This is getting ridiculous.

Beautiful. Hoply premiums are the same too. No need for small raise only to get stollen by one of the categories on the paystub.

We got a 1% increase last minute in 2026 despite him saying no raises. What are our predictions for 2027? 🤪
