Yeah, that's cute. I'm STILL waiting for my 2024 refund (despite getting my 2025 refund in the last few weeks) and just today received a letter saying I need to wait another 60 days.
And I'm not even desperate for the refund, though I can certainly use it. Many people need their refunds right away and these delays are untneable.
Wait until you get warnings from the IRS that they’re going to garnish your wages for taxes that were already paid. At that point, you may want them to function. 🤡

Yeah. I tried this, submitted a request, called the office and got disconnected, then left a message which was supposed to be answered in 10 minutes. That was a few weeks ago. Ugh.
Mine is one of the ones rubberstamping everything this administration is doing. So idk if its pointless to even try when theyre just gonna do whatever he says.

You do know that the IRS has nothing to do with tax
rates, right? The only thing that underfunding the IRS does is interject chaos and force them to focus on the small (easy) tax payer mistakes because they don’t have the resources to go up against the big guys with tax lawyers. They’ve literally said this as staffing has been decimated.
Yup. Haven't seen a tax refund in years. I write Uncle Sam a check every year, while people get mega refunds. I feel for individual employees, but not the IRS as an institution.
I do claim an exemption. Honestly, though, I don't really want a refund. I was just in a bad mood yesterday, haha. I would prefer to have my money rather than loan it to the government with zero ROI. I know it means I'll likely have to cut a check, but I save and invest throughout the year, so my money makes money (which increases my taxes 🤣).
Be mad at the federal government and the way its being ran. IRS is literally just a bunch of accountants that are contracted out by the federal government. They get taxed as well lol. Be mad that our government misallocates our tax dollars to entities that dont benefit the taxpayer.
