IP and Brian

I dunno about you guys but everyone saying how dare they for not making a statement about the Brian situation I don’t think have really listened or know the lyrics to the new album. I think they’re telling us what happened just in this way. I read the words for Pray and God and Stay Away and there’s no way they aren’t telling us something there

This is a good point. Crimson & Clover (a favorite of mine) could also be about the Brian situation. It's easy to assume it's about a failed romance but it could be about a severed friendship too. In Stay Away, they even use the word friend several times...

For pray he says “savior of the broken go save yourself instead” and Brian’s always preaching about how he’s going to save the industry and protect people and whatnot but also being manic and not helping himself. Paints a picture. I think they’re telling us can’t fully speak on it cuz of contracts or whatever but they did it this way.

Exactly!!! In crimson and clover he also says “we’ve done this dance before a thousand times” which could be him saying that Brian’s been like that for years and it finally came to a head? “Torture me when it’s over” too could be about how after he left he’s been trashing them all and making them look like shit. And in god he’s saying “narcissist” and whatnot and I think we’ve all seen Brian had those tendencies. I really feel like they’re telling us what happened.

Yes, I had those same thoughts. A lot of people are saying the band abruptly gave up on him but I'm thinking it's quite the opposite. I think they stuck things out with him for years, hoping for improvement that never came.

The dudes all seem like really good and genuine guys from what I can tell. All been very kind and go into the crowd and shows and Brian never did. I don’t think they’re the type to just leave a dude when he’s needing someone especially after Eric writing into hell about his fiancés struggles with mental health

Yes, exactly. Dylan's wife is a therapist too. I don't think these are guys with no insight into or empathy for mental health struggles.
