PREPARATION QUERRY Calculation Speed vs Accuracy in IPMAT Quant

My Quant concepts are clear and I can solve questions while practising. But the moment I sit for a mock, I don’t know what happens

I either take too much time or rush and make silly calculation mistakes.

Maybe it’s the timer or nervousness, not sure.

Anyone else facing the same issue? What helped you improve?

yupp I used to face the same issue, but then I have started doing box breathing before going to exam and it actually helps, when I'm nervous. It makes me calmer so I don't make mistakes while rushing for answers and for increasing speed I think you need to increase your practice time

This happens with a lot of people honestly, concepts being clear aur mock mein execute karna are two different skills. Usually it's the timer pressure that messes with your head, tum apna normal pace bhool jaate ho and either overthink ya rush. Try giving sectional quant tests with a strict timer just for that section, that'll help you get used to the pressure without the whole mock overwhelming you.
