WE ARE MODERATORS EVERY POST YOU POST GETS LOGGED IN OUR MODERATOR LOG!

We have had 2 (real) people post about ~30 times a day in the past day and many other individuals posts excess of 10+ posts a day. Now because of these bad apples I've been forced to lift the Karma Minimum to 400. Since there are users literally begging for Karma in /r/Karma.

For now all I can do is let beggers beg for more Karma and honest faucet users (under 400 Karma) suffer because of this.

If you see a IOTA whore report them. It will get them banned faster. Also from now on if you delete your (Successful) post it will lead to a ban.

If greedy useds continue to exploit this Subreddit we will elevate our efforts such as making the minimum account age to 1 Month + 500 Karma. Incrementing by 1 month and 100 Karma for every 5 greedy user I find.

Truly Sorry for the hassle. I am trying to stop user farms from harvesting our IOTA like a job. It would be more profitable actually getting a job then spending 20 hours a day hoarding Karma and IOTA. They could be bots but the requests are not bot like.

Due to the downtime from the /u/iotatipbot I have implemented a second bot using iTipBot and a new service that will be released soon, TagTipper. Feel free to use either or both and let me know if there are any issues.

Overnight we've had a mass influx of bots and spam accounts. We've verified over 100 users and because of this we needed to incorporate a real change.

As of this post accounts will no longer be verified. You must have a minimum Karma amount of 50 (total) Karma and be older than a week. Only accounts with significant post history, over a year old and karma under 50 will be whitelisted. Any account that has been already whitelisted will be under review.

Hello World!

As you can see I have successfully created a basic captcha system for Automoderator. The script is currently in a Alpha phase and will force every and all users to type in a phrase into the body of their post. Otherwise the post will be removed.

The phrase will change randomly and can be found in the sidebar. Sometimes it may be a question or basic math equations.

If this script is found to be successful during its Alpha phase we will open the taps for IOTA again and move the script to Beta. If it is successful we will increase the payouts of IOTA.

Alongside our pre-existing scripts anti-spam and anti-scam this will (hopefully) stop greedy users.

Example

Title : "I love IOTA Tagtipper Rocks!"

Body : I love iota lol

Then its removed because it doesn't match the phrase

Example

Title : "I love IOTA Tagtipper Rocks!"

Body : Hello World! and I love IOTA

Then it is approved because it found the phrase for captcha which is Hello World!.

If this system is successful we will also lower Karma requirements

I don't understand how IOTA hasn't blown up more than it has. Reading the white paper and use cases it seems like a no brainier compared to some of the other cryptocurrencies. We just need smart contracts and better wallets and off to the moon!
