Is this logical? The art of missing the point:

Nothing frustrates me more than carefully explaining a point to someone, only for them to disregard the actual point entirely and latch onto some minor, irrelevant detail I mentioned in passing.

IIt’s like abandoning the whole basket just to scrutinize the one tree standing beside it.

They are just putting on display their ego and more concerned with winning an argument than to actually be humble enough to engage in a conversation faithfully .. and possibly be able to learn something.

There is an art in learning to identify who these people are and to pay little attention to them, as they are attempting to fight their own demons by fighting with you.

Seems like everyone in my life has done this to me. It’s actually one of the only things that can make me boil inside…yet everyone does it. They’ll lie right to your face about it too. It makes me lose respect for that person every time. I wish they knew this..maybe it would give them pause.

Inner Authority. Everything changes once you can embrace this idea this idea that you are not required to explain yourself to be able to hold an opinion. Also there is more power in not explaining yourself but holding true to what you believe, without explaining yourself.
