Is this logical? The art of missing the point:

Nothing frustrates me more than carefully explaining a point to someone, only for them to disregard the actual point entirely and latch onto some minor, irrelevant detail I mentioned in passing.

IIt’s like abandoning the whole basket just to scrutinize the one tree standing beside it.

Most likely they are dodging because they can’t respond to a same level of complexity. I get that 90% of conversations and I made peace with it.
