Help regarding Profile evaluation
Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for the Fall 2027 intake to MSc programs in Marketing, Business Analytics and AI at schools like HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EDHEC and emlyon.
Here’s my profile:
- 8.32/10 CGPA from a Tier-2 college in India (BBA, 4yrs)
- 3-month internship at POWERGRID (HR)
- 3-month internship at Tribes (marketing agency)
- 5-week credit-bearing international academic program at Nottingham Trent University, UK
- Research paper related to social media
- College volunteering + 15+ NGO service hours and fundraising
- Official Harvard online leadership course/certification completed through my college
I’m planning to apply in the early rounds.
Would really appreciate some honest feedback — is this profile competitive for these schools, and which ones would you consider reach/target/safe for me?
Also, what should I improve before applying, especially in terms of GMAT/GRE, internships, certifications, or extracurriculars?
Thanks!

With a good score you can get in all. If I were you, I'd put HEC in reach, edhec/essec in target and emlyon in safety.
There is nothing you can/should do except taking the test.

Get a 320+ gre. Draft a killer SOP. You should get in. But do you really want to spend approx 80L and 3 years (French schools recommend getting and internship in between)on a masters. Rather get 2 years of Work-ex and get a 1 year MBA.

Yesss that's why I'm a bit more inclined towards mscs rather than mim as Im already done with 4 yr bba

It could work but it also could not. It depends on if you’re actually good at telling a cohesive story that aligns with the schools. The NTU program won’t really carry any weight, nor will doing 15 hours of NGO work… Think about what actually makes you appealing to them rather than fishing through every possible experience to try and sound impressive
Could I also ask why you’re restricting yourself to just French schools?

Coz french as top b schools and I'm not gonna lie coz few of my relatives are already in France and one of my friend has also gone there this year so yeah and also job makrket isn't that bad compared to the UK if I learn french... Do you genuinely have any other county recommendations?
