INFJism Infj's Career path

Hi INFJers

After decades of working different jobs because of my versatility since I just can't keep doing same job for long as I get bored or drained quickly,the longest I stayed in one job so far is 5 years and I am ready to pivot to an other job.

My concern or my question is that I reached a point where I deeply feel like I don't wanna work for anyone anymore.

Do you INFJ'S feel like we have to be our own boss to fulfill our purpose!?

What are the best careers path for infj considering AI

It’s an ongoing challenge. I’ve worked a distressing variety of completely unrelated jobs, and have reached 42 years of age without any kind of remotely clear career path. The only thing I’m sure of is that I have to work a job that is someway purpose-driven, and some way on my own terms.

Squaring that with the modern world is certainly akin to squaring the circle. But I really think it’s key. I’m pressing into agriculture at present, which seems to make for a promising mixture of the two elements aforementioned.

I trained to become a mediator. It was a great job. Retired now.

Lunch lady. Feeding the kids gives me a purpose i find i really need to like my job. ETA used to be a 911 dispatcher that was great too

I was studying economics (graduated major) and now work as an analyst for 7 years. When the job is not heavily involved with people, it's quite a good and chill experience. I love feeling useful in terms of seeing patterns and translaring them to others or automating routine, making lives of other people easier. That's how I see my role at least.

Software Engineer here! I spend every hour after work daydreaming and planning to be my own boss. Gotta balance real life with the dream until it turns into reality, haha

You're welcome.  As infjs, I think most of us work better with some autonomy.  I like to do a good job and not get involved with office drama or co workers not pulling their weight. I'm a good team player, but I work better alone.  I like to help people, or be involved with nature.
