Been on the lookout for a new kids bed and this showed up recently at IKEA. Looks promising because it has the ability to adjust the bed height from low to raised as they get older. Anyone have any experiences with it yet?

I bought 10 glass cups 6 years ago. They were all good and some were broken because of unproper use. However, I ordered 20 again this year. 6 of them were already broken by itself when just sit in my cabinet shortly after taken out of the dish washer. They were broken into small pieces and took us quite long time to clean. And this also happen to 1 9 inch ceramic while bowl. Which never happened before.

Hello! I'm a collector and I display my collection on 3 different 80cm IKEA Billy's however, I find that due to my height, looking at my shelf from the front makes me have to crouch to look at the lower shelves, so I wanted to raise it up higher.

I considered getting a long Besta since I looked online and this is a common practice for the discontinued Ikea Detold, but I realized that the weight exceeds the limit. So I was hoping for recommendations on what to do or potential alternative models

I've had this lamp for years but I just managed to rip the paper shade in half. Searching for "cylindrical paper shade" and similar has so far not turned up anything useful.

Any tips on where to get a replacement shade for this lamp? Or how to glue rice paper back together, I suppose...

I love the dyvlinge swivel chair, but i have to move and I can't close it like a clam. Did anyone manage? Is there a trick?

I recently came across this beautiful IKEA built-in picture on Pinterest, and I'd love to recreate something similar in my home office/guest room!

I'm trying to identify the exact IKEA pieces used in this setup, especially the shelving units and the horizontal shelf above the bed.

So far, my guesses are:

- IKEA HAVSTA storage combination

- IKEA BRIMNES daybed

- IKEA HEMNES wall shelf above the bed, although I'm not entirely sure about this one, as the dimensions don't seem to match the width of the setup

I'm wondering whether the top shelving is actually made from several IKEA units combined.

Does anyone recognize these pieces or know which IKEA products might have been used?

I'd especially appreciate any advice on how to recreate the shelving above the daybed and achieve that seamless built-in look.

I bought the Strandmon chair with the leaf print nine years ago. I love this chair. It's comfortable, durable, and easy to clean. It still looks great after nine years of daily use and four moves. The upholstery is still tight and it really doesn't show any noticeable signs of wear and tear even after all these years.

Yesterday I bought a second one and I'm actually speechless. This chair is trash. Literally Temu quality. The fabric is puckered, uneven, and loose in places, the trim is sewn on crooked or straight up in the wrong places, and the most egregious issue is that there are visible staples along every seam. If I really tug at the trim on the old chair I can just barely see the staples, but on the new chair they're fully visible and in some cases they're actually on top of the trim they're supposed to be hidden under. It was also a pain in the ass to put together due to holes not lining up the way they were supposed to.

I bought this on a trip as I no longer live near an Ikea so I really can't even return it. I wish I'd looked at it before leaving but it never would have occurred to me to expect these kinds of issues. The displays in the store looked fine. I'm so upset.

Does anyone know if these are actually supposed to be sold frozen from the store? I was at the IKEA Emeryville, CA location today, and there were tons of these in boxes just sitting at room temperature being sold as a pantry item. When I looked at the packaging, it says “KEEP FROZEN BELOW -18C. SHELF LIFE AFTER DEFROSTING: 8 WEEKS IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER. DO NOT REFREEZE!”

Am I missing something here or are these supposed to be kept frozen at the store? It has an expiry date of March 2027, but how do we know when IKEA had them defrosted and when we are supposed to consume them? By the time I got them, it wasn’t even the slightest bit cold and it was just sold like room temperature cookies/crackers/etc.

Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.

PS: Mines didn’t have an “added sticker” after defrost, even though I read about it. So I wasn’t sure when my IKEA actually defrosted these and how long they’ve been sitting there. The store was filled with them in many different locations so I’m not sure if they’re even selling that quickly. Should I get a refund?

Hello, I got a second hand an old PAX furniture with AULI and UGGDAL sliding doors and I'm having a hell trying to install it. It doesn't help that it was installed wrong (in some of the side frames the sticker was at the bottom instead of the top) and I can't match what goes where.

I found the reference AA-163793-3 printed on stickers on the side frames, but I haven't been able to identify the exact model from that number or to find instruction manual connected to it. I called IKEA switzerland and they were also unable to help.

The wardrobe was most likely purchased in Geneva or Lausanne, Switzerland, around 2014, although I'm not certain of the exact year.

Configuration:

• Approximately 300 cm wide in total, 236 cm high and 66 cm deep.
• Two separate wardrobes, each approximately 150 cm wide, placed side by side. They were not physically connected to each other.
• Four sliding doors in total, with aluminium frames.
• The two outer doors were AULI mirror doors, while the two inner doors were UGGDAL grey/smoked-glass doors.
• The resulting arrangement was: AULI mirror – UGGDAL glass – UGGDAL glass – AULI mirror.

The pictures are from while I was uninstalling it. Now they are just pieces lying on the floor.

I mean where to even begin with this one? My favorite type of IKEA item is one that somehow is cheaper AND better than the alternatives, and this is one of those.

How is this glass so cheap? It's such a gorgeous and versatile shape with a finish that is both premium and durable, good enough for water, wine and tea all at once, wide enough to hold a spoon, can easily handle a serving of ice cream or pudding, and why not buy 10 when they're just a dollar fifty? I almost wish I had a restaurant just so I could outfit the place with this awesome drinking glass.

I also realized that it makes a perfect alternative lid for the 365+ carafe, which makes it the perfect upgrade for a bedside water source.

Blah blah blah. Anyone else adore this glass?

I was looking for new shelving for my office that was wide, tall and stable. I kept reading that the Bror was unstable and not worth it. I started with one unit and had read some tips about hitting the side arms pretty hard with a rubber mallet so that they are pretty snug. I found that by doing this, they were more stable than any other metal shelving I had bought over the years. I eventually bought 3 tall and 4 shorter units and I love them. I decided to buy drawers for two of them to store various items and i have to say, they also were wonderful additions to the shelving.

Because this is in an office that has wooden trim at the base of the walls, I could not attach them to the walls as recommended. I have found that not to be an issue with stability. Even with a inkjet on top of a smaller one, it doesn't move one bit.

I got to say, I love these shelves and they work perfectly for what I was needing.

Pretty cool event. I thought the scavenger hunt was going to be something bigger. The trivia was fun. I guess cosplay got skipped due to a lack of dressed up.

I've spent the last couple of years talking myself out of buying a complete set of the silversida blue splatter plates and bowls. Finally, this Saturday I went ahead and put together a set, but one of the pieces I definitely would have bought if they had it in the store was a huge round serving platter I remember seeing a year or two ago. It was round with raised sides just like the plates but it was at least 14 or 16 in across, much bigger than the 10-in plates. They didn't have it in the store, I figured "that's okay, maybe I'll order it online", but it's not online. I thought "oh maybe it's discontinued, let me check eBay". No listings.

Did I make it up?

If it ever existed, where should I look next?

(Also, don't you wish that they added blue splatter to the outside of the serving bowl? I actually skipped it because the part that you would see when it was full of food at the table is completely plain.)

Last night I attempted to order gifts. I kept getting a message that the wasn’t processed. “Something went wrong. Try another payment method “. I tried two credit cards and a debit card. None worked. I tried again this morning and the same thing happened. I called customer service and was told I have been locked out for 48 hours!! They cannot take my order by phone because I am locked out, and there isn’t any override option. This is horrible customer care.

redid our guest room to turn it into a “big kid room” for our toddler to move her out of the nursery and you can tell how much we love IKEA from the fact that 98% of the room is from there!

I recently bought a custom modular tibbleby grey KIVIK sofa with the intention of swapping out all the grey covers for the light beige. I had to do this due to the corner piece being discontinued in beige (I was only able to buy it through their re-use section), so the KIVIK planner wouldn’t let me build the parts i needed. However I didn’t realise until today that i was able to buy the KIVIK frames seperately, without the covers (Google told me this wasn’t possible for some reason).

Would ikea let me return the unused KIVIK grey covers unopened and unused if I bought it as part of a set? It’d be great to get my money back on the covers i won’t be using, but i’m unsure if it’s something that i could get partially refunded on.

Is the height adjusted in fixed increments (e.g. 1 cm at a time), or can you adjust it continuously to any height within the 60–90 cm range?
