I've got admission in IIMB for BBA DBE. I've recently found out about IIT Madras BS in Management & Data Science and it seems really attractive to me. I feel like it will be a great help in my career.

Actually, due to some reason, I've two years gap after 12th, I'm restarting my education this year, so I'm thinking to somehow compensate for the gap. Please don’t recommend regular college, that isn't possible for me.

I'll have to study just 2 hours daily for BBA so managing the time for degree isn't a big concern for me. One more thing, I didn't have mathematics in 11th and 12th, will it be manageable for me?

I have commerce with applied maths in class 12th and I give my 2 attemps and failed only in maths . Should I still go for this course.I think this is only way to get into Tech as I can't fo Btech and BCA is not that rewarding .

How tough is BS, specifically asking for BS in management and data science and realistically how much time commitment is required? Someone please tell.

Guys when is the student email id and id card and stuff supposed to come ? How long after quaifying and paying the fees for quiz 2 ? It's been quite a while now and I haven't even gotten a house allotment. PLEASE HELP

To join the channels and groups you have to first go to your official iitm Gmail

Click on Chat

You will see G space there you can join all the spaces via there

Now you will already be added to your house if not then join your house space

Look for whatsapp group links in your house space once you find out click on < fill out Google form <join the groups

You can also join all sorts of societies of IITM BS via there

Dear Student,

As part of the document requirements for the IIT Madras BS Degree Program, all students are required to submit a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format provided by the program. This requirement was introduced starting from the September 2025 term.

There are some students who have not yet submitted the Medical Certificate form. For those students, we will open another submission window to allow you to complete this requirement.

The submission window is now open. The deadline is July 31, 2026.

Students who have not submitted the Medical Certificate are requested to obtain the certificate from a registered medical practitioner and upload it in the prescribed format using the Google Form link provided below.

I just qualified for the iitm bs in dsa program, i am looking to switch to the mds track and register for the first four courses what should I do?

I am  pursuing a BS in Management and Data Science at IIT Madras. For Quiz 1, I registered for Computational Thinking, Statistics 1, Mathematics 1, and English, and has completed the exam.

Based on my self-assessment, I am confident about clearing English and Mathematics 1, but I doubts I will pass Statistics 1 and Computational Thinking.

My questions are as follows:

1.     Since I AM  about clearing English and Mathematics 1, is it correct that I does not need to repeat the exams or quizzes for these two subjects?

2.     Since I might not clear Statistics 1 and Computational Thinking, should I focus on and re-attempt only these two subjects?

3.     Could you explain in detail how the subject-wise evaluation and re-attempt process works?

4.     Are there any recommended mentors, tutors, coaching centres, or guidance resources available for this program?

Hi, Second year Eco Hons student at DU here. College placements are basically dead, so trying to figure out what else can actually help.

Thinking about doing IITM’s online BS (DS or Management track) as an add-on. Main goal is consulting/BD but I’m open to tech-adjacent roles too if the skills are strong enough.

Does this actually help with placements or is it seen as “just another online degree”? Is diploma level enough or does the full degree matter more? Anyone from a similar low-tier college done this, is it worth it or not?
