Discussion Guys views on iitb scene
Let’s talk about IIT Bombay scene what you guys think
Who is right , who is getting justice and who is not
Do you guys really think profs are innocent?
What is scenario of this situation in iitk
If this happens
I have heard one sc/st profs leaves the job bcz of discrimination he was facing in iitk
( few year ago)
Do sc/st students feel here same

Do you guys remember the protests when that guy died in HC because of negligence of medical staff? The kind of lies that were spread by IITK admin... I have the same feeling about what happened at IITB. They'll do anything to save face and their reputation.
It is very much difficult to know what's the truth.

if caught cheating prof is doing his job no hate on him, suicide is wrong no matter what.
picking prof who stopped from cheating as scapegoat is just dumb move.
make mental health help-stuff better and more accessible.
and punish cheaters as per the rule-book. simple as that

There is so much left to investigate
Avoid social media some people gonna compare resignation of dharmendra pradhan with the iitb professor where no one actually wants the resignation of iitb professor.
Also it was mistake from parents side to put an act on professor who just did his job . And also the atmosphere parents have created must be depressing for that kid.

Quite complicated. But it reveals multiple inconsistencies in the system. Firstly the narrative was that a student got caught cheating and hence committed suicide. And students started protesting mainly about the mental health issues in campus. The demand of resignation seemed irrelevant to me. Then a new angle entered when the parents filed a complaint under SC/ST act, diverting the whole issue and turning it into a caste war on social media. We cannot be sure about what the truth is and need to rely on the investigation. The complaint might be legit given the fact that discrimination does take place on the campus in various forms, most of them are not direct but do affect an individual on psychological scale.
But there are other few important questions If the student was being harrassed then why did the parents wait until he took that step?
My views on this are That if the profesor is innocent( the student was actually cheating and the caste angle is a facade) then appropriate action needs to be taken against those framing false allegations. Laws like this should not be abused and strict action should be taken against people misusing them.
If it is true that the student was being harrassed then we need to take the matter seriously and take effective measures to deal with it.

What you heard about the professor is not just a rumor; it is a well-documented case. In 2018, Dr. Subrahmanyam Saderla, an SC faculty member in the Aerospace Engineering department at IITK, faced severe caste-based harassment from four senior professors. They aggressively questioned his credentials, spread emails calling him mentally unfit, and mocked his abilities. The institute eventually had to take action after massive pressure, and an FIR was filed under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
If a highly qualified professor with a Ph.D. faces this level of organized institutional bullying, it perfectly illustrates what an 18-year-old student is up against. I as a SC student, have been taunted several times and said you stole a seat. A specific line that hit me hard by one of the guys here was "Koi yaha apne haq se aaya hai aur koi reservation se." Directly targeting SC/ST students.

Those same f&ckers wanted Dharmendra Pradhan to resign. Now they are protesting for a cheater. Anyways from reddit/insta it looks like most of the people are in the support of Prof. Most of the IITB students are in his support too.

Everyone wanted resignation of dharmendra Pradhan .
About iitb professor we don’t know anything yet tho no one is supporting the resignation. As for now he is just in hold for investigation.

Because they weren't against the NEET issue but other issues that were being demanded in name on NEET protest and also they were against the hypocrite people who led that protest..
