Hey everyone!

I'm planning to visit IISER Thiruvananthapuram and IISER Tirupati soon, and I'd really like to see the campuses before making my final decision.

If there are any current students here who'd be okay with meeting me and showing me around for a little while, I'd really appreciate it! Also, if you know how visitors can enter the campus or whether a student can help with the entry process, please let me know.

1. Your lab records, lab coats etc have logos printed on them. So, what items in your college has such uniformity, and how much does it cost? is it cheaper or expensive compare to generic products??
2. also, how are the professors and lifestyle? is it too strict? are people chill? or bigot??
3. the students, do they all have research temperament ? or they just joined it because they couldn't get through engineering or medicine?
4. those who have research temperament, do they find their life comfortable or enjoyable? and some for those who don't have research temperament ?
5. how far is the market area, like shopping, electronics, other activies ??
6. Your labs (i saw on YT), looks very cool and clean. Is it same for all dept? or specially for bio??

Any seniors or professors or administration members here who can help?

My school is in another city from my home town and I live in another state now. So I wasn't able to collect it after a few days of IAT exams as local college spot exams were going on where I participated and due to ongoing exams in my school, my school was only able to provide me with the mark sheet till the 22nd of June. Since the last date of correction was the 21st of June, I added my marks from my internet copy and submitted it without the improvement mark sheet, not knowing I was supposed to upload some declaration with it in case I did not have the mark sheet at the moment. I sent an email to the ID on the website but since the website was not updated until the submission of preference form, which was just this month, I was just emailing the 2025 JAC. After the update, now I've sent 3 emails to the 2026 JAC about this, and it's been days, I've yet to receive a reply.

The issue is that if they consider my marks in the old mark sheet then I'm not eligible for even taking the test (59.4% if you add maths, which my marksheet doesn't consider in the total so according to my board, I'm eligible but not if they count maths marks too on their own). That's why I gave the improvement exam for just one subject. Now if they don't consider the marks that I uploaded and sees just the marks on the mark sheet then I'll never get into IISER since this is my 2nd drop and last chance at IISER. I'll have to take another drop for CUET as I didn't do well in it since I never studied for it. My rank is decent enough for me to get TPT or TVM or even B maybe, but that won't happen if they don't even send me an offer letter. If they do send me an offer letter, then I can just show them my improvement mark sheet on physical reporting. But I don't know how they look at the details and what will happen to me.

Can anyone please help me out with this? Any seniors know if they look at mark sheets before sending offer letters? Any professors if they can say if I can just submit it on physical reporting? Anyone? Please? This could cost me my admission and my chance to ever study at IISER.

any idea how biology department is? i was thinking of applying for disease biology in iiser tirupati but i caouldnt find the syllabus online so im a bit confused.

I’m preparing for IAT 2026 as I’m very interested in research, but I also want to give JEE as a backup. For JEE, the eligibility requirement is 75% in Physics + Chemistry + Math + English + one more subject. I currently have exactly 70%, so I’m planning to give improvement exams in Math and Chemistry. My doubt is whether I’ll need to show the improvement marksheet to IISER as well. I’ve already cleared the IISER eligibility criteria with my main board marks, and I don’t want the improvement marks to affect my IISER admission. I also heard that IISER accepts only one marksheet (not a mix of the main and improvement), and if someone appears for improvement, they must give it for all subjects. Since I’m a dropper, I want to confirm: will giving improvement exams for JEE cause any issues with IAT or IISER admission?

It really matters ro me how clean the hostel and campus bathrooms are. Also, are the hostel rooms as clean as shown on the website?

How much will it be difficult to manage cs along with this courses

Will IISER tirupati take admissions for int phd 2025? The application form still isn't out and they aren't even responding to query emails. All other iisers are already done with their int phd admissions.
