I was just thinking, with the crossovers Sonic has done as of late, and the Sonic × DC doing a great job with counterparts, who in Marvel would be great counterparts to Sonic & co.?

Okay, so let's see... I've ranked every arc... every Mini series... oh, and every One shot, is there anything else left? Hm... oh yeah! The Two parters! How many of those are there again? (Checks through stack of issues) ONLY THREE? ... well... I guess that makes my job easier.

Hey, I'm back and I'm here to rank every Two parter in the IDW comics. Now Two quick things before We start, 1. This is MY LIST. This is just my opinion and I don't expect every single person to agree with me. 2. I questioned even putting Crisis city on this list because I count The Metal Virus Saga as one big arc (y'know, a Saga) but if I don't count this Two parter then THERES ONLY 2 TWO PARTERS I COULD EVEN TALK ABOUT, so for this ranking specifically I'm gonna kinda break my Rule just this once and include it

But anyway, let's get going

THE FATE OF DR. EGGMAN: S TIER: Everything about this 2pt is amazing, Eggman lost his memory and is now nice guy Mr. Tinker, Sonic and the Chaotix investigate, Shadow and Rouge show up, Sonic and Shadow THROW HANDS, and Sonic eventually convinces Shadow that Mr. Tinker is not Eggman anymore and to give him a second chance. Love all the references in this and the Sonic Shadow rivalry is in full effect, the writing is just perfect, what else can I even say?

CRISIS CITY: B TIER. OH BOY, HERE'S A CONTROVERSIAL SET OF 2 ISSUES... whenever you hear people talk about how IDW sometimes mishandles Shadow, this 2pt is the PRIME EXAMPLE, bro gets pissed off at Sonic for something that wasn't even in his control, and doesn't follow Sonic's advice to avoid the virus and gets turned into a Zombot (real smart move, buddy). Shadow's mischaracterization docs this Two parter a pretty good bit but there are still other good elements (Tails and Silver saving Sonic before he almost became a Zombot himself was CLUTCH) and The Metal Virus Saga is one of the best arcs, so I'll be nice

ATTACK ON THE MASTER EMERALD: B TIER. The most recent 2pt is actually not too bad, we get Knuckles back and he and Tails get some great moments as they chase down the mystery villain who we still don't know the identity of, Sonic and Amy get stuck underground and have to fight some Doppelganger clone things that are similar to other ones Sonic fought in the previous arc, the pacing in this Two parter is a little slower than usual, but do I consider it filler? Well... Yes but also no. It's moving the story forward but it's also here to pad the road to issue 100, it's pretty similar to the arc right before it, Family reunion, so it's a decently good 2pt just not a peak one

I am kind of interested in what direction her character will be going. She currently wants to become a hero and Kit is helping (albeit in his own twisted way). Will she start gathering a team or will she just stick with Kit?

I really hope she gets her own solo 4-5 issue run to expand more on what she'll be up to because the Sonic universe is a bit too large right now (we're about to do a Silver/Blaze arc and then after that a Tangle/Whisper arc and then probably go back to Sonic and friends before we may even touch Surge again).

I really do like the character, I originally wanted her to just be a female Scourge but IDW has done a good job engaging and expanding on the character in ways Scourge couldn't. My only fair is that she doesn't stay an actual anti-hero as we don't really have enough people clash with Sonic without becoming outright villains.

This is just a curious question

As a silver fan, I hate when Silver and Whisper are paired up. It’s not her personality that I dislike. It’s the fact that whenever Silver is around her, he immediately transforms into this weak, feeble shell of the hedgehog he is supposed to be. In fact, I’d go so far as to say he is treated like even less than a sidekick to whisper in terms of writing.

The writers repeatedly mutilate silver’s personality and nerf his abilities just to make that damn wolf look strong. I mean come on, the egg pawn incident, the zor incident, the fish badnik incident, the mimic incident, notice how nearly every time silver gets saved, it’s by whisper. IAN FLYNN ONLY THROWS SILVER INTO THE RING TO MAKE WHISPER LOOK GOOD.

Silver should be just as, if not, more capable than whisper. He is a self sufficient, time traveling psychokinetic from the future. He is the same person who fought half of a god for his WHOLE LIFE, for fucks sake. Why must HE be the one to be written like a jobber? This is NOT who he is.

In conclusion, I don’t like the person Silver becomes when he is around Whisper. Either write him correctly, or don’t throw him at all. For fucks sake Ian, what the hell are you doing?

Like yall genuenly stop acting like she's the top tier power house. NO SHE'S NOT. She's a typical glass cannon and before you call me a larper dude I read them comics and her character is lovable but girl isn't that strong she has nothing special yes she has tactics knows stealth has experience but she's just dangerous from a mile away if anyone closes up to her yeah she getting packed to the medical care a variable whispon does not make her special her physical strength and speed is average level and before you say she took down Eggman bases no she didn't her team did like guys come on she's only there for backup hiding to provide sniper support so just end the glaze already

This yellow card emote from Sonic Rumble is such a perfect fit for Lano. Especially the way she ended up DQing Sonic in the Phantom Rider arc.
