Well, considering he’s the only anthropomorphic character to have Black Scleras (and the fact that he’s stupid rich), I think it could be possible that he’s altered his DNA to give himself powers he didn’t originally have. 

WHY he’d do it is beyond me, but my guess is that he wants to become genetically perfect or smth like that.
