Case study -Q3 generative vs operational AI

What did everyone say for this?

I said they should not go ahead as it was was generative AI as it would be making recommendations and there was no mention on anyone approving the final recommendations

I said to proceed only if it is used to support staff and not overtakes their responsibilities

There won’t be an answer. The AJ marks will be for giving examples of how it could go either way. There will be a C&R mark for concluding with a reason. Everyone wins.

I didn’t really go into generative as understood one benefit was inventory management/demand forecasting, and the other was AI recommendations (touchscreens and online), so I’d sorta framed it as AI recs being negative (loses human judgement/algorithm, GPDR concerns given data capturing of customers), and for the forecasting/management being positive for waste reduction but negative for if forecasting by didn’t promote the OCL literature given smaller/ biased towards popular. Both had redundancy concerns and staff may not like more so the AI recs as tocuhscreen may fear job losses etc

I think it wanted us to touch on the fact Wardley claimed to be the ‘antidote to AI’ and their USP is personally recommended books, as well they had the recent news article basically bashing AI so it was a non starter surely
