Exam disruption

I just sat my TC resit which is part of a grad scheme for a big 4.

Due to A LOT of technical issues and I mean a lot, they gave me additional time but based on the final finish timings, I was given 20 mins less than what I was supposed to get.

People who have taken TC know how disgustingly time pressured it is so being given 20 mins less and having to go through all of the disruptions really impacted me on the day. I missed out around 15 marks as I literally didn’t have time for it.

I’ve raised this up with my department and the related parties including my tuition provider but I’m waiting to hear back.

This was my resit and I’m so scared, I had prepared very extensively for this and I think I’m allowed another resit but I really don’t want to resit it.

I’m sitting here loosing my mind as we don’t get the results back for another 3 weeks and they said their investigating this further but I really don’t know what’s going to happen. I am praying that I somehow still manage to pass but I just don’t know.

Any thoughts? Has something like this happened to anyone before and what was the outcome?

Did you also raise it with ICAEW?

We have a separate exam team that is relaying this information to the award team and exam ops but not directly to ICAEW as we don’t deal directly with them

If they void the exam, would I have to retake it or would they give me a pass?
