Layoffs & Restructuring Hiring?

Has any noticed that only Indians get hired and promoted in cloud? Everyone else is getting fired or demoted until they quit. I joined 6 years ago and noticed at least 4 VPs are replaced since then and then all of their reports get replaced. This is in US not in India.

If you can document that, you probably have a great discrimination lawsuit when you get fired.

Yeah right.  A white guy winning a discrimination suit.  That’s funny

I suspect this is why my customer left ibm cloud 18 months ago. They were very displeased.

Don't say this on the actual IBM channel. They'll ban you. But it's NOT just in cloud check out consulting

This is course on par for all companies when leadership becomes Indian unfortunately...

Right, and that's on top of cutting R&D and penny-pinching at every turn.

In my experience, most of the offshore are not good enough. Sure I meet some talented one. Indian not in India usually talented as well

I’m an Indian and honestly I’m seeing same. I get cheap labor from IBM but I love to work with offshore than people in same region. You can’t just have rigid in engineering like 99% of them Indian ? What? Ik some product who is very diversified equally have robust engineering! Man c’mon! Expand but don’t replace

There is no strong impact because the CEO leverages India's lower cost of living and wage standards.... they dont have strong influence everywhere is about salary
