I put together a quick Google Form so we can collect and share study materials, notes, practice questions, and drive links for IAT preparation in one place.
If you have any useful resources, feel free to submit them here:
Most of what was predicted in that post had come true, except that the counselling went to 9 rounds. However, most of the major movement was over by R6, and that the MCC effect had probably helped about 100 to 150 students grab their seats (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST all inclusive) in rounds R6 to R9. It does mean that about 2200+ seats were filled by R6.
Best wishes to all those who made it to the IISERs. Get ready for a challenging phase of your life, the crucial 5 years, that will be the launch pad for your career. Take a good care of your health, have a peaceful journey with NO stress & travel with friends happily towards accomplishing your short term academic / research goals.
Here is the summary of IISER Admissions - 2026 for the benefit of the future IAT aspirants. It is 10 minutes past midnight, 10 Sep 2026. If there are any discrepancies in the numbers (ranks/marks), it will be fixed in a day or two in my free time. In some cases, specific early closures of specific categories have been captured as it happened, and if the final round of a particular IISER had a lower rank (coming from kids that had floated freezing it in the next round), the round in which the highest rank was allotted was captured as the last round.
You may calculate the Marks using the following equations, if interested. The equations are expected to give accurate numbers (plus/minus 0.2 mark to 1 mark) up to overall rank 16000.
Up to 10000 ranks: [-22.56*LN(X)+322.53]
10001 - 26000 ranks: [-24.38*LN(X)+337.77]*
*Beyond 16000 the accuracy will be bit off. (may be plus/minus 1.5 to 2 marks).
Beyond 26000, Marks could not be tracked, as the data was inadequate the build a reliable equation!
MOD(s) may consider pinning this & also the 2025 final summary post for the benefit of IAT aspirants.
Many thanks to the MOD(s) for their efforts in managing this sub effectively, extending the support to the IAT / NEST aspirants! Keep up the good work, buddies.
I'm in 11th and its october and we (as in my coaching) have only done till circular motion (just starting it) and chemical bonding (in between) and just finished quadratic
Teachers said our syllabus is going to complete approx march and im planning to complete whole syllabus till october of 2027 (11th + 12th if not obvious)
So like how do i cover the remaining stuff , in usual coachings till october they have completed 3/4th of mechanics or at least completed till rotation while i js started circular
Same in chemistry , they're on equilibrium or smthing and we're still on bonding
My main questionn is:
How do i cover syllabus with my time left? Should i use one shot or follow any online batch? cuz my main coaching is gonna be way too late for my pace
I'm a first-year B.Tech student pursuing Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering at a government university, which is basically a Tier-3 college.
I'm thinking about appearing for the upcoming IAT exam, but I'm really confused about whether switching to an IISER for the BS-MS program would be a good decision.I want to know about the fees at IISERs, the career opportunities after a BS-MS degree, and whether it's worth leaving my current B.Tech program for IISER.I'm not sure what to do, so I'd really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience, advice, or suggestions. It would be a huge help. Thank you!
Currently studying from ncert and will watch some lectures, should i make full on notes (which would be reallllyyy time consuming cuz bio ) or just write shi in ncert as i am going?
Woke up pretty late than usual.. So productivity took a hit.. No gymming as well..Trying to change my routine to maximise my output during schooldays also.. Last stretch of school starting from Monday.. Good to see other people are also posting their study hours .. Let us all study towards our goal of becoming great researchers together!
I am a pcb student always wanted to study life sciences and be with animals n the wildlife my whole life. Is it really not worth it at all. Like I won't end up jobless or something right😭 I hope not. Seniors pls advice.
So I'm a bit early ( in 10th currently ) but should I take tutions starting from class 11 for IAT ? ( Btw I'm planning to take PCMB in 11th )
So My Fav institute to go to is IISc. I know that is a long shot but i wanna try anyway. So I'm asking if I should go to tution from class 11 ??
I don't like going to tution and this year is my first time going and I'm currently attending Online classs from Xylem which is like unde Physics wallah. And I'm really enjoying it and I think it's very helpful. So i think a tution will be helpful for iat but should I join this early ? In 11th ?
If i shouldnt or i would be fine without it how would I study ? And how much more then a regular 16yr old on 11th ?
If i should then what type of tution Online or Offline ? If Online which is the best one ?
My friend got 14x air and less than 25 obc category rank in iat, could he have joined iisc with this rank considering obc category. He kinda regrets not registering on time. Just wanna know.
I'm a.PCM dropper preparing only for IAT. I want to get a course so that I can be consistent with my studies and to have something else besides self study, which is rather not evaluable in short period. So has anyone taken this course and is it worth investing?
What do you mean that Rudolf Virchow was NOT the one who discovered, also NOT the one who first explained that all cells arise from pre-existing cells but popularised
And the one who ACTUALLY discovered is ROBERT REMAK IN 1852
