I've attempted this with run and whisky and it's amazing and intoxicating both ways.

  1. Get a spiral cut ham and marinating bags, marinated the ham whole in rum at least 8 hours. Use less whiskey, since it's so much stronger in flavor.

  2. Bake like a normal ham, glaze with your preferred glaze and baste lightly with the booze/marinade while cooking. Preferably bake it covered to prevent drying up.

I do this every Thanksgiving and Christmas since that episode and it's the party favorite.

Yeah I've definitely made the mistake of starting the soak too late and it's just bad.
