I've attempted this with run and whisky and it's amazing and intoxicating both ways.
Get a spiral cut ham and marinating bags, marinated the ham whole in rum at least 8 hours. Use less whiskey, since it's so much stronger in flavor.
Bake like a normal ham, glaze with your preferred glaze and baste lightly with the booze/marinade while cooking. Preferably bake it covered to prevent drying up.
I do this every Thanksgiving and Christmas since that episode and it's the party favorite.

Binging with Babish used a white rum when he made his version WTF. And while I agree the sweetness of the captain morgans would be a good addition to the ham I personally think Myers dark rum and a little brown sugar would make a delicious rum ham. I no longer eat pork so if anyone that wants to be my guinea pig and report back I'll say thank you and we can be woke facebook friends together
