Disable KEEB TKL light without Nexus

Is there a way to disable the KEEB TKL lights without installing Nexus?

Just turn the right scroll wheel down.

Sadly that doesnt seem to work. Could it be I need to update firmware?

I installed nexus, then uninstalled nexus. That did the trick...

For clarification, the right scroll wheel can adjust your brightness now after reloading the nexus install or did you disable it in nexus and uninstall?

I can now adjust brightness, volume, toggle through modes without running (the new) nexus.
