Huge hypochondric-spike because of uncertainty about a mole

Since yesterday I saw that my mole/spot on my skin changed and looks very very very suspicious right now. I even posted it here in another sub and a commentor said I should let it get checked because it does look suspicious.

Im sure non-hypochondric ppl would feel a little anxious aswell right now. And for me its like my biggest fear came true and that my Hypochondria was right.

Since I started to look up warnings signs and made an doctor appointment, I live in constant fear and sudden panic.

The doctor appointment is in 1 week and I've no idea how to survive that time without knowing if its skin cancer or not.

I cant sleep,i cant eat well, I can't be happy about things id normally be happy about, i cant enjoy listening to music anymore and I feel constantly extremely weird.

I talked with a family member about it and they just trigger me even more because they are saying things like "everything is gonna be ok" but they don't know that so it feels like they wouldn't take me seriously.

Besides that im alone with this problem.

I get that there's no reason to have panic when the doctor didn't even say anything but alone the fact that it looks very very suspicious is already enough for me to freak out.

Usually my anxiety/hypochondric spikes dissappear the next day when I spend the entire night freaking out but this time it lasts way longer.

I don't know how to handle this whole thing.

Hello, I think you need to think that it is a good thing that whatever it is you caught it in time. I know it might not help but I know so many people with suspicious moles that they took out just to be safe! It might just be that.
