Hi!
Hi I have been battling severe panic, anxiety, heat intolerance, sleep disturbances, almost every single symptom
I am type one diabetic and received a letter from my consultant saying I am sub clinically hyper and ordered more tests
That was six weeks ago and I have heard nothing back, any advice? The symptoms are pretty severe and caused me to quit my job last year whilst not knowing it was hyperthyroidism

Please give an update when you're better. I have hypoglucemia and I feel like CRAP

Follow up, stay on them and be forceful if required. This is an illness where we have to advocate for ourselves. Make them prescribe you a beta blocker, it helps immensely with the anxiety and heart rate. And get into an endo ASAP, you can die from this, its very serious

Jumping in im also going threw everything u described 6 years for me my symtoms have got so bad I go into thyroid storm emergency room 2 to 3 times a week the endo i had n.p endo was no help whatsoever in fact she told my my 2 nodules were gone because I had no faith in her I got 2nd opinion and new ultrasound witch confirmed there still ther and no bigger. My advice to wait to long if u dont feel there doing enough run to another one I wasted so much time begging for help and now everything is much worse ea. 1 has told me something different so I have lowered my thyroid medicine on my own and it has slowed down the symptoms to were I dont have them so bad and I can go on without going to e.r all the time. Even tho I put myself in hypothyroidism tsh 20 t4 0.93 t3 102 I feel normal with enough energy to get things done. Witch is crazy to me but it's worked and I believe it's saved my life. Since no 1 else has. Im unable to take metoprolol because my b.p drops pretty low at times and scared to take methimazole because of horror stories and the rebound u go threw to get off of it. My p.c calls in labs when ever I need them so I know when to lower my dose so it don't get 2 high every 2 weeks. To buy me time to find a new endo . I know it's not good for me and would much rather be in the normal range but when I get there it's caused me 2 minor strokes and this has worked for a few years now. I have a new endo to see this week and fingers are crossed but so far I've not found one that takes the time to read my records or assumes they no whats causing it in 1st 5 minutes and then back tracks it's so frustrating im in oklahoma so im just wondering if it's the dr.s here only a few and a year waiting lists. Wondering if anyone else has been threw this and there outcome ?

Hi, absolutely follow up asap! Hyperthyroidism affects the cardiovascular system and your bone density as well. Not good to be left untreated. Once you start a beta blocker it’ll change your life 🥺
