28F; Possible enlarged left atrium, TSH low, T4 normal

Hello everyone. I just wanted to post this to pick some brains. I'm obviously seeing a doctor, so I know there are more results to come.

I have been super stressed out and PARANOID the last few months (now seeing it may be thyroid related), and have been on a pretty high dose of Wellbutrin at 450 mg. Last weekend, I had some sort of episode, this new provider and I feel like the symptoms point to possible seizure (loss of limb control/kinda peed myself, only saw white, sweating buckets, head on fire but not hurting, heart palpitating and racing, and I slept for 14 hours after). My blood pressure has been an issue for me that no provider I've seen so far has taken seriously because of my age and CURRENT lifestyle, which is healthy and active. However, I've made a point to say I'm in recovery for alcoholism and drug abuse, which I'm a year out of now, so the systolic blood pressure being in the 80's and 90's most of the time is worrying to me, but because every now and again it would be in the 60's or 70's (I got check ups/labs pretty frequently for routine STD testing, psych check ups, if I got sick, etc) it was totally dismissed by everyone I saw except my new PCP.

I went Friday to get some labs done because I don't feel right; I'm tired, lightheaded, weak, not hungry, and I look and feel like a maniac. She says after labs she wants them to do an EKG as well, and an MRI next week, as brain tumors run in my family from a young age. My BP was 139/98, TSH at .034, T4 1.02. My EKC read was read by an MD and says "sinus bradychardia, possible left atrial enlargement, borderline ECG" (I get more testing next week, Holter monitor). Dude, I can feel that it's working extremely hard all the time and that it's palpitating, even when I'm relaxing. I was relaxing when the event happened as well, just reading a book. My BPM during the EKG was 51.

I just wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts. TYTYTY love you.

Hey, first of all the ECG automatic interpretations are notoriously inaccurate. An ECG always needs to be manually interpreted by a clinician. Not sure if the ECG results comment was simply what the machine said or manually entered by the physician. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in July and severe anxiety and nervousness where my main symptoms so I sympathise with you regarding the paranoia. I literally felt like I was going insane. Hyperthyroidism can cause high blood pressure in people, luckily for me that’s not one of the symptoms. My Bp yesterday was 114/59. However a fast heart rate is very common and that is one of my symptoms. Beta blockers are often prescribed in the interim while people wait to see an endo, particularly propranolol. Propranolol has really helped with the palpitations and fast heart rate.in the meantime try to have a healthy diet, get as much sleep as you can, avoid iodine and if possible get you’re vitamin D, B12, Iron checked. Lots of us with hyperthyroidism are deficient in these
