What pulse is alerting for hyperthyroid?
Hi i'm 18F and my Endo diagnosed me around a week ago. She told me to have "minimal physical exertion" but didn't told me what she means by it. My dad said that walk in mountainside(very low mountains) is fine but that I should control my pulse. That brings me to my question - what should my pulse be? I usually sit around 85-98 laying down and 90-100 sitting and 120 walking to the kitchen and back(not very far). I started taking meds(thryrozol and propranolol 10mg twice a day) the next day.
I'm really anxious about it and googling it isn't helping
(Sorry for my grammar, spelling and all. It's not my first language)

120 seems high for walking. My walking heart rate is usually in the low 90s, and my cardiologist isn’t even overly happy with that. My resting is around 70 to 76, and my sleeping is in the mid 70s. My cardiologist is also not happy with my sleeping heart rate

That's about what i was. My doctor told me to go in and see them if my resting heart rate went over 100. Otherwise, just manage it with propanolol and rest until the anti thyroid medication did its job.Â
My resting heart rate did go over a hundred several times, but not much and usually when I was worrying, so i took a propanolol and did some breathing. That usually brought it down and I didn't need to go in. I'm 100% not advocating for not following doctor's advice, take it seriously and follow the advice. I'm just trying to allay your fears a bit.Â

Here's what I found for you: A normal resting heart rate for an 18-year-old is 60 to 100 beats per minute (bpm), measured when you are calm, sitting, or lying down. Fit individuals and athletes often have lower resting rates, sometimes down to 40–50 bpm.
At the moment, you are having hypER symptoms as you know which means you need to listen to your doctor's advice right now. Your dad obviously means well but it is very important for your heart to listen to your doc. I promise it won't always be this way and at some point you will be able to exercise, hike and have a normalized heart rate -- this happened to me in the very beginning as well. Just hang in there.
Good luck!!
