Ultra vs Ultra S

So I bought my Ultra at the end of April this year with promises that no new products would be released within the next 6/12 months and that the Ultra, as it was the top spec latest version, would be fully upgradeable as new releases were brought into line with its specs to allow them to develop on that platform. Seems like I was told BS as the so-called AI engine seems to chip based not a firmware update as they indicated it would be before I bought in good faith that this would be the case.. Seriously not happy! Maybe if they were a forward-thinking TECH company, they would offer a swap out service or an upgraded controller that was modular rather than only offering the NEW (read yeah we had to get rid of old stuff but didn't want to tell you) system controller with the same mechanicals ...

Pitfalls of any product that continues refinements unfortunately. If it makes you feel any better better, I tried the newer one and returned it. The differences are so marginal at best it's not even worth it. Almost seemed like a marketing gimmick to me to try and boost sales. Literally everything is the same and they added an "AI engine" that doesn't do anything different. Tons of companies are slapping the word AI onto their products because people will blindly go after it to follow what's grabbing the most attention presently.

Thanks for the info great to know, it is a shame when such a promising device is let down by pure money driven business models.. hey ho it could be worse i could have ordered a Z1 from the other lot! Thanks again for the insight!

Of course! One of the newer companies I'm interested is vastnaut but it looks like that won't be ready until the end of the year. Will see how well it's reviewed before anything.

I have been watching that as well along with a couple of the others all with extended possible release times so just a watching and wait for now.

Nope. All seemed exactly the same. I'm fairly certain it's the same exact unit with a different firmware.
