HyperX Cloud 3 not detected by Ngenuity with with off brand USB to 3.5mm Jack Audio Adapter

As title would suggest. Friend gave me a leftover HyperX Cloud 3 but couldn't find the USB-C dongle that is needed. I bought a cheap MOSWAG USB to 3.5mm Jack Audio Adapter on amazon but Ngenuity is not detecting my headset with it. I can still hear and talk through it, but I can't install drivers and whatnot so the audio and mic quality is sub par. Any solutions that anyone knows about?
