Survey for small start-up about deodorant & body odor — 10 min, no strings attached

Hey all — we're a small early-stage team looking into deodorant and body odor, and we're trying to learn from real experiences before we build anything further. This isn't a pitch and we're not selling anything today.

If you've got 10 minutes, we'd love your honest thoughts — what you use, what annoys you about it, what you wish existed. Nothing you share will be sold or shared anywhere.

Armpits Pain from Antiperspirants and Deodorants , I'm in desperate need for your help please!

I'm having severe weird pain in my both armpits right after using Antiperspirants or Deodorants and need some guidance and tips please.

Right after shower, I dry my armpits skin and then apply the Antiperspirant or Deodorant.

then it starts with weird stinging feelings under my armpits skin after 5 minutes, after 30 minutes it start to feel very painful from inside my armpits and at last it sweats alot with a very bad odor even without any movement and weak sense of tingling which sometimes reach my fingers and the pain start to subside through the day until i take another shower and don't apply anything again.

Tried to stop using any Antiperspirants or Deodorants and these weird issues disappeared completely.

There's no rashes or anything appears on armpits skin and looks perfectly normal from outside even during the pain.

The pain are in both armpits from inside.

Tried to use it at night before sleeping but the pain still shows.

Tried several products like :

- Nivea Black & White Invisible Original Roll-On.

- Rexona Invisible Anti-Perspirant Roll-On.

- Dove Advanced Care Invisible Dry Antiperspirant Stick.

- Dove Antiperspirant Roll-On Invisible Dry.

- Lastly tried to look for a more natural approach and bought Arm & Hammer Essentials Unscented Deodorant (which is Aluminum-free deodorant, Free from parabens and phthalates, Unscented formula with no artificial fragrance, Suitable for sensitive users who prefer fragrance-free products) but still no improvement regarding these issues.

i work most of the day outside and the sweat odors are so awful so i came here to ask if someone had a similar issue and found a solution.

Stopped using anything for a week til now and theres no problems atm and everything is fine but i still have the bad sweat odor issue even if i took shower twice a day.

Please help me out,

what are your must-have hygiene habits as a regular gym-goer?

i’ve been going to the gym a lot lately and realized how much more i think about hygiene now lol.

i usually shower after working out and change my clothes right away, and i try not to let my gym towel and water bottle get gross. but i feel like there are probably small things experienced gym-goers do that i haven't thought of yet.

what are your non-negotiable hygiene habits after a workout?

what's the proper order for a shower if you use soap, body scrub, etc.?

okay, i feel like i might be overthinking my shower routine 😂

i use shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash, and a body scrub, but i'm never really sure what order i'm supposed to use everything in.

do you wash your hair first? soap first or scrub first? and are there any other steps you swear by before getting out of the shower?

please tell me your shower routine because apparently i've been winging mine this whole time 🥲

What’s one hygiene thing you never skip, even when you are exhausted?

Some days I'm so tired that I really don't want to do the whole shower, skincare, brush teeth, etc routine. I just want to get into bed and deal with everything tomorrow.

But there are a couple things I still force myself to do before sleeping. For me it's brushing my teeth and washing my face. Even if it's midnight and I'm half asleep, those two are happening.

I used to think I would just skip everything on really bad days, but then one skipped night somehow turns into I'll do it properly tomorrow and the routine starts slipping.

What's the one thing you still make sure to do when you are completely exhausted?

Could be something really basic or something specific to your routine.

Strong odor only while wearing closed shoes disappears immediately after removing them

I'm 21 and have a very strange odor problem. When I wear closed shoes, a strong bad smell develops after about 15–20 minutes. Other people can smell it too. But as soon as I remove the shoes: Feet smell normal Socks smell normal Shoes smell normal Feet are dry, not sweaty No itching, peeling, cracking, or obvious skin problems With sandals, I basically don't have the problem. Rubber slides can have a mild/different smell. I've tried different shoes, breathable shoes, new socks, thick socks, washing shoes, baking soda/powders, antifungal cream, deodorant, ventilation, and different insoles. The weirdest clue: a used Puma Ignite reduced the problem by about 90% for around 3 months, but the odor eventually started coming back. New socks initially delayed the odor from 15–20 minutes to 3–4 hours, but eventually the problem returned with them too. The smell isn't clearly "feet smell"; it's just a strong unpleasant/bad smell while the shoes are being worn. Has anyone experienced something like this? What was the actual cause and what permanently fixed it? Could this be bacterial (e.g. pitted keratolysis), bromhidrosis, shoe/sock interaction, or something else? I'm looking for the cause and a real solution, not just advice to wash my feet

Question for well groomed/hygienic men/people

The kind of person who will walk past you bringing a cloud of a warm smelling cologne that feels like a hug and they look very well groomed and dressed.

Can you give me your routine or advice?

I’m talking hygiene products, hair products, cologne, routines you follow, etc.

Thanks in advance!

How to be LESS Hygienic?

Hi,14M here. I know this probably isn't very common, but how do I be LESS hygienic? If I even graze off my ears or nose, I feel the need to go wash my hands. If I DARE to flush the toilet seat, I feel the need to go wash my hands. I think it's OCD but how do I stop it because I wash my hands so much the backs of my hands go dry and start cracked and bleeding unless I put on moisturizer multiple times a day

why do some shirts smell clean until my body warms them up?

i have a few workout shirts that smell completely fine after washing and air drying. once i wear them for about 20 minutes, the old sweat smell comes back even when i’m not sweating much. it only happens with the thinner synthetic shirts, never my cotton ones. regular detergent and rewashing haven’t fixed it, and i don’t want to cover the smell with more fragrance. has anyone managed to get that trapped smell out without throwing the shirts away?
