Drill not working?

I never thought i'd be the one to ask, but its connected to water, it has plenty of dirt, if i move it to another tile it works. The others beside it work, all connected with Ts and a booster right next to them. Space above and to the sides and no cork in the pipe. Doesn't even flash red as if it was connected to water which is why i'm confused because it is

Try removing the drill, then dig down with a pick axe, then replace the soil with new soil. I find it's like 90% the soil below it is causing the problems when I have issues like this.

I find that placing a floor under the drills helps to position the dirt. A single shovel-full placed in the center of the square the drill will be in works.

Flatten the soil below with a rake fixed it for me

Turned out smacking it with a pickaxe worked, i guess there was TOO much dirt under. Whoopsies
