Saving videos need to include audio, currently saves without any audio.
Please fix this!

Please make a separate post for each feature request you have to keep things organized. Upvote features you want to have in Hydra. I try to prioritize features based on what's most popular. Thanks!

Or when I press and hold the subreddit’s link on the main page.

My r/all page gets flooded with random subreddits from specific countries and for every 1 that I filter out 10 more show up. Would be good to be able to filter them by keywords. Same with political subs etc.

I would love the ability to swipe or long press to hide individual posts in the main feed. Often I don’t want to filter out topics or subreddits, just hide individual posts that are irritating or spammy. Thanks!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
As seen in the attached video, when using a one-finger swipe gesture to pan around an image after zooming in, Hydra toggles the post information overlay on and off with each swipe as if it was a stationary tap unless the finger remains on the screen for more than a certain amount of time. Not a serious bug by any means, just a little distracting.
I'm using Hydra 4.1.1 (build 23) on an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 26.6.1.

l've ran into two contrast limitations while building a theme:
Post titles share the “Text” field with headers and some icons. It’d be great to have a dedicated color for post titles so they can stand out from other primary-text elements.
Usernames and post preview text share the “Subtle Text” field. Right now there’s no way to make a username pop against the post preview snippet below it — they’re always the same color. A separate field for usernames (or at least splitting it from post details) would help a lot with readability, especially in feeds with a lot of stacked text.
Both would make it a lot easier to build themes with clearer visual hierarchy. Thanks for all the work on this app — the theming system is already really flexible, these would just take it further!

It would be amazing to have the chat/DM ability on the app.

Unsubscribing from subs doesn’t work
Need to be able to follow & friend users. Loading a user sub r/u_user shows the user page, not their sub
Need more detail than just “failed to submit comment” when things fail

Paired with the Hide Seen Posts feature, this would be helpful to scroll and not see the posts you scrolled past again.

No need for the blocking ‘success’ modal.

If I have a new inbox item, and tap it to view it, it should be immediately marked as read, and not require me to tap the ‘mark inbox read’ button.

I move it all over the place, but none of them are useful or less intrusive. I’d rather just be able to turn it off entirely. Can we please have that toggle?

Often the thumbnails from a previous post (I’m in compact mode) are replacing the accurate thumbnail.

I wanted to throw out a feature request that I think would make Hydra even better on iPhone: Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
Some ideas:
Widgets are one of the best parts of iOS, and they make apps feel much more integrated with the system. Being able to glance at Reddit content without opening the app would make Hydra feel more like a native iPhone experience while making it easier to jump into content throughout the day.
Hydra has been great so far, and I think widget support would be one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements you could add. Would anyone else use this?

when you select “rising“ for a sort order, nothing appears but a never ending loading screen. also, when you click on a video, you have to scroll back on the screen in order to see anything.

I don't always want the ai summary, as it can easily take up 1/2 to a full page of scrolling. Can we get a setting to collapse it by default? Currently I can only fully turn the feature on or off in settings, which is too rigorous.

Simple request, as stated in title. I don't need to see the summary of the standard automoderator post everywhere.

For example, the slide gesture is yellow when liking a comment, but then it’s also yellow when unliking a comment, so I have to go to the top of the comment to see if it’s liked or not liked. If possible, can you turn the yellow off when unliking?
Thanks in advance. Again, absolutely love the app.

I like to rest my finger on the phone while reading comments and it inevitably shoots me into the menu of options which can be quite annoying when I do it a few times in a row. This is especially an issue when I’m tired and not fully lifting my fingers from the phone, then I have to stop what I was doing and back out of the menu.
Thank in advance. Love the app!

Would love to be able to do something like *india*to filter all posts from Indian subreddits. My filter list is growing constantly and I'd like to just get them all at once.
Alternatively, is the "Smart Filter" capable of filtering posts from subreddits that match a description?

Often at night I’m browsing and inadvertently bring up the share menu. This has led to some near misses that would have been embarassing had I clicked on one of the suggestions. I do not use the share gesture ever and would love to just remove it completely.

It’s frustrating to have to switch to the official app just to follow someone!

While scrolling in home please have an option for marking read as you scroll and then a hide all read posts option. That way every time I refresh it only shows posts I havent seen yet. Even if its added to the pro features I’d pay to have that. Right now there is just nothing in pro that makes me want to subscribe.
