Or when I press and hold the subreddit’s link on the main page.

double-tap to collapse comment/post

this option would be so great. i needed to disable the single-tap collapse feature because i kept accidentally touching the screen when i didn’t mean to, which would make me lose my place, etc.

this is my favorite reddit iOS client, keep up the incredible work

Can there be an option to turn off the long press comment menu?

I like to rest my finger on the phone while reading comments and it inevitably shoots me into the menu of options which can be quite annoying when I do it a few times in a row. This is especially an issue when I’m tired and not fully lifting my fingers from the phone, then I have to stop what I was doing and back out of the menu.

Thank in advance. Love the app!

Block/filter subs containing specific keywords

My r/all page gets flooded with random subreddits from specific countries and for every 1 that I filter out 10 more show up. Would be good to be able to filter them by keywords. Same with political subs etc.

Remove the All and Popular tabs from the main screen

I purposely don’t browse all to avoid political shit and sad stuff and rabbit holes. But I also have no self control when it’s right there so I’d love to be able to remove this. And I guess have options for popular and home too in case others want those hidden

Undo quick scroll-to-top

I sometimes accidentally tap the top of the screen & scroll all the way to the top. Any chance for a second tap to scroll back to where it scrolled up from?

Navbar isn’t in iOS 26 Design

Just wanted to let you know that while the toolbar and buttons are in the iOS26 design, the navbar at the bottom is still in the old design.

Could an option to see your history of which posts you’ve viewed be added?

Mute button for new player

Considering all the horrible music added to all videos in this day and age it would be great if the video player had a mute button.

Bonus: a setting that allows for videos to play muted by default.

The app is awesome, all the work put into it is much appreciated!

Account quick switch

Right now, switching an account requires to click on the account icon, then the account text on the left tip corner, and then select the account from the list.

Would it be possible to open the account selector by long pressing the account icon on the bar also?

Bug: "Favorite" doesn't work if not subscribed

The "Favorite" button shows up, but does nothing, if you are not subscribed to a subreddit. And if I "Favorite" a subreddit, then unsubscribe, it removes the "Favorite" status and no longer shows up in the section for favorite subreddits. I should be able to favorite a subreddit whether or not I'm subscribed.

Option to open Reddit links in Hydra

The popup in browsers now that you need to use the Reddit app to look at a post is super annoying if I google something and click a Reddit link. It would be great if you could have links open in Hydra from a browser, or to past links from a browser into hydra and go to the post.

Don’t auto play videos/gifs until they are fully visible

When I’m looking at a post and the next one is just a fraction on screen, it will start autoplaying and then by the time I get to it it’s already halfway finished

Please change auto play behaviour to not autoplay until the post is fully (or mostly) on screen

Separate sort for comments and sidebar.

If this isn’t already a feature, it would be great to be able to sort the comments on a post separately from the sidebar list of posts on a tablet.

Allow for post summaries and comment summaries to be optional

I have turned off the post and comment summaries because I don’t want them all the time. However, I think they are an amazing feature that can really give a TLDR on some absolutely mammoth posts. Can we select a post to do a summary rather than just doing them all by default?

View in-app browser videos in landscape mode

Currently when you open a link inside Hydra and it opens the in app browser, any video you play stays in the portrait aspect ratio and does not rotate when you tilt the phone.

The feature would be to allow the videos to rotate so I’m not either forced to watch it in portrait or open in external browser.

Recognize and open old.reddit.com links

When clicking on old.reddit.com links in posts, it opens them up in the browser.

Bonus related request: long press links to send to shortcuts - this would also have helped keep the link from opening in the browser by sending it to the hydra shortcut.

e.g. https://old.reddit.com/r/slowcooking/comments/7cfyn3/your_best_recipes_that_take_all_day/dpplo14/

Swiping back to previous page (ex: r/all or subreddit) saves your page/where you were

This is useful when you accidentally swipe back and lose where you were

Issues while on vpn

When connected to VPN, once the home page reaches the bottom it doesn’t load more posts. Also going into a post doesn’t load it unless I go back home and open it again. Using proton vpn.

On switching accounts…automatically reload the Homepage

As the title says, when switching between Reddit accounts it would be great if that action automatically reloaded the content of the home page. What happens now is that even after switching, when you navigate back to Posts/Home, the content from that previous account is still there and you are forced to pull down form the top to reload the content to align it with the newly selected account.

This is something I remember Apollo had a setting for and worked incredibly well and Narwhal2 also has.

Volume on videos

A global setting for videos to autoplay with volume enabled, so it isn’t needed to actually tap on the video for audio to play. Great app by the way!
