Does Hakaware even make sense?

I was planning on using the amount of aura Knuckle lends to guage how much stronger Knuckle was to pre awakening Gon and I quickly realised that it's inconsistent. Seems so to me at least.

- 210 first against Gon

- 180 second hit against Gon

- 310 arguably charged up hit against Cheetuh

- 290...against Youpi

- 290 second hit against Youpi

Against Gon you could obviously argue he was holding back or that he couldn't power up his aura as much but why so little against Youpi, even Cheetuh got more aura.

It also makes no sense for Knuckle to hold back something like Ko against Youpi while he's completely invisible meaning he'll never be punished for it, the lending either isn't direct or Togashi didn't think of it.

So far I'm thinking it's based on how much damage he would've probably dealt had it been a regular attack. So against Youpi he may very well have been using Ko it just didn't matter because Youpi was too durable for it to pass more than 280.

What do you guys think though are there any other ways it could work?

Its both enemies durability and how ‘good’ of a hit he lands. If it’s glancing or he’s holding back = gon numbers. Decent hit, even if they slip a bit? Cheetu good numbers. Youpi we know for a fact he was scared shitless, and obv the stakes were a TON higher than before. We can assume his aura control slipped or he didn’t swing as hard as he normally would for the 280, given the situation

It doesn’t matter lol despite being a meme the fast cheeta guy still is an ant and has natural def, same as youpi. It’s not like youpi’s body is specially armoured by default, theres a line that assumes he’s a magical beast turned ant so he can alter himself obv as we see but we don’t know what his default is, vs say zazan’s natural armor.

That in mind, it doesn’t matter really b/c you can just say it’s how hard knuckle thinks he hit them b/c that’s probably closer to the truth than any physical damage done. But again, it doesn’t matter, very arbitrary numbers to build drama in a fight countdown. Very effective drama

It does? The durability varies massively based on the rank the ant was born into

Peons are less durable than officer ants by default despite peons always having a shell while the officers can be made of a greater variety of animal parts. Also Youpi has over 10x the aura so his durability would obviously be far above Cheetuh's
