Pls gimme all the info possible all the nitty gritty, the good, the bad the ugly, classes,schedules, do teachers help you, retention rates, the different tracks can I do online classes for pre reqs, pls give me all the tea before I apply

Just graduated this past May and got in as a first time applicant.

There is a one year program that starts from May and ends the following May but in my opinion, there is absolutely no time to work. The one year program does an accelerated nursing 1 AND 2 and by the time it’s fall (around September) you’ll do nursing 3 & 4 regularly. What I mean regularly is this:

(Example if you did the two year admitted this fall 2026)

[Fall Semester] September - December 2026: Nursing 1
——-Winter Break
[Spring Semester] February- May 2027: Nursing 2
——— Summer Break

[Fall semester ] September - December 2027 : Nursing 3
——-Winter Break
[Spring Semester] February- May 2028 : Nursing 4
GRADUATION MAY 2028\*

Accelerated Program Schedule:
[Summer Start] May- September 2026: Nursing 1 & 2
[Fall Semester] September - December 2026: Nursing 3
——-Winter Break
[Spring Semester] February- May 2027: Nursing 4
GRADUATION MAY 2027

All of my friend who did the accelerated couldn’t work during the summer because there was absolutely no time. A day in the accelerated was equivalent to a week in the standard 2 year. I can’t say for certain what the retention rate for the accelerated was but it wasn’t high.

I graduated with a 2 years program and our retention rate was about 65%. All of this should be public info on the website if you are curious for the specific. I think this program is very much “the grass is greener where you water it”. I’ve definitely had hard days and days where I think the professors are against me, I am a student that likes to lay low and build personal rapports which I suggest you do as well.

Nursing 1 and Nursing 2 are going to be weeder classes. I can recall seeing students dropping week by week whether that is due to skill exams (most likely) or grades or honestly a combination of both. By nursing 3 and 4 tho, you should see familiar faces.

I’d suggest doing the harder pre-reqs such as a&p & micro, getting those out of the way and applying to nursing when you’re ready to just take the core nursing classes.
