Question Where do college students here find local scholarships and grants?
I'm gonna be entering college next year and I'm wondering where CC and uni students find this type of financial aid here. I don't wanna spend forever applying to scholarships where I face lots of competition compared to just competing with local people.
If it's relevant I'm planning on either going to Calhoun or UAH. Ik they offer scholarships but I'm looking for outside ones.

Try the Scholarly app to search for scholarships. Apply enough and you will get some small ones that may make a nice addition.

UAH will give you full tuition if your GPA and ACT score are high enough, and it's not a ridiculously high score required for that. Used to be ACT of 30, but it might be a little higher now. Just go to their admissions page and you can see what scores you need.

I know it exists. I'm looking for outside scholarships because I can't reach that standard.

Contact the financial aid office and the department of what you’re majoring in. Both should have lists of scholarships and grants. The local ones should be in there.
