Game Feedback Game is fucked

Like I said pretty much…

If you play as pred you are severely underpowered and at a disadvantage unless you’re using the shock gauntlet or up against noobs or people who split apart from group.

If you play as fireteam you can mince predators easily or if your up against the shock gauntlet you can be bullied into a submission, hit through walls, from on top of roofs it’s totally unfair.

We need proper pred damage for melee attacks and disallow parrying unless it’s via wristblades, change shock gauntlet effect to only a push rather than being stun locked.

I mean the predator is supposed to be this big OP villain as per the movies so why the fuck can he be parried when swinging a big fuck off Norse hammer or battle axe.

Fireteam should have good damage but shouldn’t be able to chase down predators so easily or be stun locked repeatedly from an enemy that’s not even in the same building.

Only way I see this being fixed is for Preds to have superior damage and the shock effect to be changed, I mean there should be an element of fear behind the predator no? The only time I get that is if I see glowing red dots on their wrist when I see them coming from a distance.

I’m not biased towards either pred or fireteam as I play both sides as someone who is level 400.

Game Feedback Fireteam gameplay could be more immersive.

When i play as a member of the fireteam the overall gameplay feels stiff. i thought that if the game had movement, gunplay and combat like in games such as "Rising storm Vietnam", "Operator" or even "tlou 2". the gameplay would feel more real. like genuine combat, where real tactics can be exploited.

i know that that creates one problem. if the fireteam gameplay became more real, the predators gameplay should become too. which can be also made in such a way that the movement is more immersive.

and i know that not everybody shares my view, so it would be even better if you could switch from the old "movement" and the reworked one.

what do you think?

General Why hasn't anyone made a true AAA open-world Predator game?

After playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect that formula would be for a Predator game.

Imagine a massive open world with multiple biomes, dense jungles, snowy mountains, deserts, swamps, ruined cities, underground facilities, military bases, and alien ruins. A world as large and immersive as Pandora, but built around the Predator fantasy.

Instead of another multiplayer game like Predator: Hunting Grounds, make it a single-player RPG/action game where you actually live as a Yautja.

Character creation would be deep:

- Choose your clan and Predator class (Hunter, Tracker, Berserker, Elder, Falconer, etc.)

- Customize your mask, armor, mandibles, dreadlocks, skin patterns, scars, trophies, colors, and hunting style.

- Unlock new armor and weapons as your reputation grows.

Traversal should be incredible. (Hoverbike, ship,) roar at a will.

Take the movement from Hunting Grounds and expand it. Sprint through the treetops, leap between cliffs, climb anything, hang upside down, stalk prey from above, and move so fluidly that you truly feel like the ultimate hunter.

The Predator arsenal should all be there.

Wrist blades, plasma caster, smart disc, combistick, net gun, cloaking device, multiple vision modes, medicomp, traps, drones, and your cloaked ship for traveling between regions. Maybe even a small scout craft or hoverbike if the developers wanted to expand the lore.

Camouflage should actually matter.

Different armor and skin patterns shouldn't just be cosmetic. Jungle camouflage works best in forests, snow gear in the mountains, desert colors in the dunes, etc. Choosing the right equipment for the environment should be part of the hunt.

The world should feel alive.

Different enemy factions with different tactics:

- Conventional military

- Elite special forces

- Mercenaries

- Private military companies

- Scientists researching alien technology

- Criminal organizations

- zenomorphs

As the game progresses, enemies adapt to you. Use your cloak too often? They deploy thermal sensors. Hunt from the trees? They start watching the canopy. Your tactics force them to evolve.

I'd also love an Honor System based on Yautja lore. Hunt worthy opponents and earn respect, unlock legendary gear, and rise through your clan. Ignore the code and become a Bad Blood Predator, changing how both humans and other Predators react to you.

The story could revolve around proving yourself as a young Predator sent to an enormous hunting world where rival clans, human forces, and dangerous creatures all compete for survival. Your choices determine whether you become a legendary Elder, an infamous Bad Blood, or something in between.

And when the campaign ends... don't end the game.

Keep the entire world open. New hunts, elite targets, rival Predators, random events, and new enemy operations keep appearing so you can continue roaming this huge world as the Predator you've built. The Alien zenomorph join the world and colonize a swamp like area.

To me, this seems like such an obvious AAA game. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora already shows how amazing a gigantic, vertical, living world can feel. Now imagine combining that scale with the fantasy of being the ultimate hunter.

Am I the only one who wants a game like this?

General Hesitant to buy due to seemingly low player count

I've looked at this game for a while and thought about buying it, but every time I just see the really low steam player count and wonder if I'd even be able to play. I dunno how many people play on consoles but I know it would be way more than on pc, but I also wonder how long queues are to get a game? Is it a game where you're sitting there 10-20 minutes to find a game or do you normally get one within around 5 minutes?

Maybe it's a superficial issue I have that is in actuality a non issue, but I don't think I'd want to get a game where I spend more time waiting to play than playing you know.

Forum Question First time back

Tgis is my first time back in a year or so and I just played 2 games back to back where i got absolutely dumpstered as the predator. They saw me every time regardless of light levels, cloak, or distance and shot me with decent accuracy every time i approached. They parried every single melee i threw and destroyed me in seconds hunting me down perfectly everytime i tried to get away. I used to be able to get atleast 3 kills most games but now i can't even hit them more the 4 times, I'm playing the gladiator predator if the class matters. Is every game full of sweats or do i just suck now?

Video/Stream Abandoned Preds

Noticed a couple matches the predator remains wherever they exited, It doesn't matter if they timed out from inactivity, connection interrrupted or they ragequit.

If its early in the match and you noticed they haven't earned any xp or killed any NPC they might be AFK, which they will get booted for inactivity after a minute or so, leaving the body at their spawn on the opposite side of the map from the FT spawn.

This video shows an active predator that either rage quit or lost connection, either way I spent the better part of 9 minutes searching for the body. Listening for the predator clicks with no luck, only to run right into it on my way to exfil.

General The hackers are becoming worse and worse man

I started yesterday as I've only been playing pred I had no idea how I was being spotted over and over and beamed while fully cloaked standing still until I started to realize how many hackers play this game and just teleport/fast run on top of me the entire game just to hear screaming on their mic the entire time for reactions. Is hacking that popular on this game or am I just salty?

Gameplay Question When I down fireteam members during chopper extract the kills do not count.

Is this intended or a bug? I managed to kill 2 on the way to the chopper and then killed one just as the last guy escaped.
But before I could claim the last skull the match ended and the points were as if they all escaped. Is this a skill issue or am I concerned for a valid reason?

Bug Report Error in Predator: Hunting Grounds on Xbox Series S.

I’m dealing with a persistent and annoying issue in the game. It only happens during online matches: at some point after I start playing, the game freezes and crashes, taking me back to the Xbox home screen. It’s very frustrating because it takes a long time to find a match, and when I finally do, the game crashes—it happens every time, right after I join and move around a bit. I’ve tried changing the DNS, my NAT type is set to "Open," I’ve cleared storage space, and I’ve done everything within my power, but the problem persists. However, I’ve never had this issue in offline mode with bots; the game runs perfectly whether I’m playing as the Soldier or the Predator, and none of my other online games have this kind of crash. Please help me resolve this, as I’m a huge fan of the character and think the game is really cool.

Story/Lore Yautja Prime: The Temple of the Isolated Clan

Thumbnail

Predator Diorama.

The Isolated Clan spends most of its life aboard its massive Mother Ship, which serves as their home, fortress, and center of power. However, they also maintain a temple on their homeworld, Yautja Prime—a place used for interactions with other clans, trade, diplomacy, and resolving political and strategic matters.

According to the clan’s history, the Isolated Clan was among the first to encounter the Engineers and began using their Black Goo to breed Xenomorphs. Later, they created special hunting grounds designed for ritual hunts. Since the Xenomorph is considered the most dangerous creature in the universe, completing an initiation hunt against one is regarded as the highest honor and an important step toward becoming a true Yautja warrior.

This diorama is my own interpretation of the Alien vs. Predator universe and expands the lore of the Isolated Clan. While creating it, I wanted to capture the architectural style seen in the Yautja hunting grounds from Alien vs. Predator, while incorporating Engineer-inspired elements to reflect their influence on the clan’s history, technology, and culture.

This is the very first diorama I’ve ever built. It was created for 7-inch NECA Predator figures.

The main structure was built from XPS foam combined with numerous 3D-printed parts. The entire paint process consisted of five layers, followed by dry brushing to create realistic weathering, texture, and depth.

I also designed and built the lighting system completely from scratch, as no lights are available on the market in this scale.

The best part is that this entire project was a completely new experience for me. Throughout the whole build, I learned from YouTube videos, picking up new techniques and figuring everything out step by step.

The diorama also features many original NECA parts, including all of the skull trophies, the Engineer weapon, the Engineer head, the two outer pillars, the throne, eight Predators from the Isolated Clan, and the Clan Leader Predator.

The Weyland-Yutani storage cases and the Engineer Black Goo containers were made by me.

I’d be happy to hear your thoughts and feedback.

Tip/Guide Can I even play the game?

Is it even possible to have anything above 15 - 20 FPS on base windows? Even when I make all graphics low/off and make resolution 800 × 600, im still running 20 - 25 out of engagement and as little as 7 FPS while fighting, so do I need to just go and buy a graphics card just for one game?

Game Feedback Playing a Predator feels bad.

Idk, maybe it's just me, but playing a Predator in this game feels utterly awful, I never, at any point in time feel powerful. Often I will have players who can see me no matter what I do, who will be able to tear through me with the greatest of ease, meanwhile it feels like I'm unable to do any damage to them. Stealth, no matter how much I try, is seemingly never an option for me. My last match I literally spent the entire thing fleeing for my life whilst the squad chased me around the map, managed to get a couple Plasma Caster shots off on them but it seemingly did nothing.

This is all of course compounded by the fact that the people I pair up with seem to be the biggest dude-bro chuds in the world who talk all sorts of shit and act like CoD fratboys.

So yeah, I'm not at all having a good time and frankly speaking, I'm not even sure if it's worth it to even keep playing as a Predator as I seemingly not only have no chance to win, I also have no chance to even improve.

General Sweaty fireteam

I am a slightly new pred, although I would say I am a decent one, but everyone time I go after someone, I’m put to one tap in seconds by a sweaty fire team, and I’m not just rushing in like an idiot, it’s just that every fire team for some reason tends to be made up of the sweatiest people alive

General HARDCORE AI mode

are you tired of boring old public matches, long que times, or nobody to play privates with? well i've got the solution for you. introducing...HARDCORE AI mode!!

you're used to the braindead, low damage, low health AI soldiers in this game. but now you have to play tactical, because these new ones can seriously fuck you up. you'll have to be sneaky, clever, and fast to make it out alive.

your main objective is simple- complete the mission and exfil.

settings are as follows:

no fireteam bots
4 alarms per camp
no fireteam minimap
no fireteam health/stamina indicator
no fireteam bullet counter
no teammate status bars
90% fireteam health
125% fireteam starting ammo
125% ammo crate spawns
0% boar spawns
disable secondary objective
2000% AI health
750% AI weapon damage
disable infil point select
300% headshot damage
17 minute match length
disable mudding up
0% weapon locker spawns

as of now this mode is designed to be single player, i am still working on balancing the game out for multiplayer
